Other things to note This cabin is located in a private subdivision near the top of Massanutten Mountain with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah Valley. Please note that the cabin is accessed by an approximately two-mile stretch of rural, gravel road that is bumpy, steep, and winding in places. This is the norm for most cabins located on mountains in the Luray area. That being said, we have a Ford Fusion that navigates the road to the cabin easily except during extreme winter weather. During winter months, a four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle is highly recommended. Having an AWD or 4WD vehicle is also recommended during other months, but is not necessary except in extreme weather conditions. In the event of a major snowstorm or other extreme weather conditions that hinder travel or safety, we will gladly exchange your reservation for a different date. Guests should consider the weather before traveling, and cancel or reschedule their trip if they have concerns about travel. We offer a flexible cancellation policy that enables guests to cancel up to 24 hours in advance of their reservation with a full refund. Our apologies, but we cannot be responsible for any weather-related events or related issues, but we will do our best to help. PLEASE NOTE: - We're glad to help with any questions or special requests related to your stay. Just message. - We care about our guests, their experience, and we value their privacy. If there is any issue or anything you need help with during your stay, we live locally and will help personally and as promptly as possible versus having to go through a management company. - Please, no events, parties, or more than six guests are allowed on this property. - Please be respectful of surrounding neighbors and nature. Quiet hours outdoors should be observed between 8pm and 8am. - This property backs to the George Washington National Forest. Nature abounds. Guests may encounter animals and insects native to the area including deer, wild turkey, birds, snakes, spiders, newts, etc. - any animal or insect you might encounter during a walk in the Shenandoah National Park woodlands.
