Description

Come enjoy amazing views in this uniquely peaceful and secluded hill-top cabin overlooking Squam Lake and surrounding mountains at the end of a dirt road with absolutely no neighbors in sight! A hiker paradise with your personal trail head right behind the cabin. You can walk down to the Lake in ~5 min and will have easy access to endless activities among which: - Ashland Beach on Little Squam (7-min drive) - Boat ramp and marina to rent a boat (~3-min) - All the Whites have to offer (~25min) The space Cotton Lake Cabin will offer you and your loved ones a unique retreat from your busy life and a truly authentic experience of the beautiful nature found in New Hampshire. Amazing lake and mountain views from the deck and many rooms of the house. Cotton lake offers a main 4-season cabin (~1900 sq. ft.) with three bedrooms that can sleep 6 and a separate 2-story cottage for Summer and Fall (Casita ~700 sq. ft., please inquire if you are interested; the Casita can sleep up to 4 more people). Additional cost for renting the casita is $79/night/person with a 2 person renting minimum- this will be included in pricing as "Additional guests fee" beyond the 6 people staying in the main cabin. New for 2022 season, both main cabin and casita are now equipped with air conditioning. Many cozy rooms await. The master bedroom has its own bathroom and balcony that offers an amazing place to enjoy breakfast and watch the sun rise over the Lake. The living room has a gas fireplace and is equipped with a smart TV and surround sound system allowing you to connect and enjoy your favorite streaming services (note, however, that we don't have cable TV). The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker (as well as Nespresso machine, bring newer generation "Vertuo" coffee pods if you would like to use it), countertop oven, toaster, microwave, range oven, and pretty much every equipment you will need to comfortably cook at the Cabin. We even have fondue pot and wafle maker for breakfast! The main 1st floor bathroom has a deep soaking bathtub for you to relax after a long hike or a ski day while the upstairs bathroom is equipped with a massage jet shower cabin. The dining room, living room and master bedroom are all facing and overlooking beautiful Squam. The main deck is accessed via the living room and will satisfy your highest expectations as to scenic views, tranquil wilderness and peaceful serenity. Cotton Lake Cabin borders the upper trail system of the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center and Squam Range trail system with a variety of hiking trails accessible directly from your personal trailhead behind the cabin or a few minutes drive away. Bring your boat and use the Holderness Squam Lake Public Boat Launch, which is a 4 min drive away from the cabin. Don't have a boat? You can rent motorized or non-motorized bots (kayak, canoe, etc) at nearby rental shops. Want to go for a swim? The Ashland Beach on Little Squam is located less than 3 miles from the cabin. Among many activities in the area, you will find: - paddling, boating, sailing, kayaking, swimming while enjoying beautiful and preserved nature on peaceful Squam Lake - endless hiking possibilities steps away from the cabin in the mountains surrounding the Lake. Either start directly at your personal trailhead behind the cabin that allows you to connect to the entire Squam Range trail system (recognized as one of the best hiking areas in NH) or from one of the many trailheads surrounding the lake and a short drive away from the cabin. - 20-min drive away from the White Mountains and its plethora of year-round activities (Fall foliage leaf peaking, scenic autoroads, rails and aerial tramways, ziplining, white water sports, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, snowtubing, ice skating, dog sledding) - 40-min away or less from 6 ski resorts (Tenney, Cannon, Waterville, Loon, Gunstock and Ragged Mountains) - visit the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, the Loon Center, and many other attractions in the area (Polar caves, Logs of fun, Castle in the Clouds, Living Shores aquarium, The Old Country Store, Franconia Notch, Shaker Museum, and more) - enjoy dinner in the area (The Inn Kitchen and Bar, The Manor on Golden Pond, Walter's Basin, The Common Man, Fosters Boiler Room, The Corner House Inn, Little Red Schoolhouse and more) M&R License 100351 Guest access We have keyless entry.
