Escape to this loveable 1890s cottage on a 2.6‑hectare organic garden estate. Sleeps 6 in 3 cosy bedrooms, perfect for creative retreats, family weekends or nature lovers—yet just a short drive from town. It has a wood fire, heaters and electric blankets. The cottage is well decorated and equipped with essentials. There is one queen, one double, and two single beds, all with quality linen IMPORTANT: The double room is accessed through the single bedroom. Please note before booking. The space On the edge of Carterton with views of the Tararua ranges and the surrounding countryside. The property is peaceful and quiet, on 6.5 acres, filled with vegetable gardens, and a food forest. For winter: The cottage has heaters and a wood fire to keep you cosy and warm. There are also electric blankets on all beds. For summer: There are two portable fans in the wardrobes in the bedrooms. There is an outside picnic table with sun umbrella. There are also outdoor camping chairs available for use. If you want to eat in, the kitchen is equipped with essentials for cooking. Otherwise, there are many great cafes and restaurants in the area. The TV is equipped with Chromecast and access to Netflix. We also have a good selection of books and games/puzzles. The night sky is great for star gazing on a clear night. Check out our social media: @connollyscottage Guest access The cottage has a small private garden, however, is situated on 6.5 acres of land. You are welcome to explore the large garden, with secret spaces, beautiful meandering paths, an abundance of wildlife, edibles to nourish, and flowers to bring joy. Alternatively, you can relax in your private space. We live on site in another home but the cottage has it's own private area. Other things to note You are a five minutes drive from central Carterton, 15 minutes to Greytown, and 30 minutes to Martinborough. Spend your time touring vineyards, enjoying the many restaurants in the region, walking through native bush, or simply relaxing at the property. Carterton and Featherston have many interesting antique shops while Greytown and Martinborough feature boutique stores and cafes. We can recommend local cafes, restaurants, vineyards, and activities. PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: The double room is accessed through single bedroom. Please keep this in mind when booking! There is an unfenced water race on the wider farm and electric fences on some boundaries of the farm. These are not in the gardens around the cottage
