Our building was built at the turn of the 20th century. The 2nd floor walk-up apartment features a full renovation in 2022/2023. We removed the 120-year plaster cast to expose the original brick walls giving the space a NY loft feel with the brick representing the history of a time gone by. You’ll find upward of 50 modern amenities including a full kitchen, large shower, soaking tub, 2 cozy bedrooms with queen beds, and a large living space that includes a 65” television, electric fireplace, beautiful drapery and comfortable seating for lounging. I’ve added my own special touches through art, décor and seasonal décor setting us apart. Outside, you’ll find a FREE parking spot for 1 car and a covered deck to relax when weather permits. A special feature guests love is our Greenery Wall located just inside the back door. It’s a great place to take pictures and capture memories. Guest access We offer keyless entry: At your arrival time, you will receive a code to enter the apartment via a Schlage keypad. We do have a FREE parking spot directly behind the building (drive through the alley). Look for the Parking sign that says, "Reserved for Suite on Jackson." Take the wood staircase, next to the parking area, up to the 2nd floor to enter. If you arrive at night, don't worry, you are in a safe area (next to the police station) and the stairs and back deck are well-lit. We offer self check-in, keyless entry. Hot water is not a problem but, the faucets are tricky. Please read our Guidebook for special instructions (this will be emailed to your email on file 3 days before arrival). You will still hear some street noise as we are on the main thoroughfare in town. You will hear virtually no noise while in the interior rooms of the space. We've taken appropriate steps to eliminate the noise through new double-paned windows, insulation in interior walls, and noise absorbing drapery. For your convenience, we offer a supply closet for guests. Located next to the refrigerator, you can find extra wash cloths/ hand towels, paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, broom / dust pan, Swiffer, etc. The furnace is located in the apartment, in a utility closet, as it is dedicated to this space. You will hear it kick on / off and you will hear the air blow. We also have an a/c unit (central heat and air) dedicated to this space. We have fans in each room to circulate the warm / cool air.
