Situated on a beautiful private yard, and just steps from a secluded beach! This is the perfect spot for laying out and relaxing, beach combing, or taking a dip in the warm summer months! There is a portable fire pit for guests to use on the beach- great for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores! History The space Relax and unwind in this waterfront oasis. This is so rare to be located just steps away from a secluded beach and also have a spacious lawn! The house has many large windows so you can capture the beauty of this unique little island. Watch the ferry sail by across Hale Passage while sipping your favorite beverage. Mount Baker looks majestic in the light of the early morning sunrise. The large open kitchen is well equipped and perfect for cooking meals with family and friends. The dining area is located just off the kitchen and has a large window that looks out to the ocean. The open-concept living area boasts high vaulted ceilings and a towering rustic stone fireplace. This home is crafted with gorgeous natural wood and feels so natural and cozy. Located off the living area is a naturally lit bedroom equipped with a comfortable Queen bed. There is also a sofa that can pull-out and can comfortably sleep one. Just down the hall is the primary bedroom set with a comfortable King bed and an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is also an additional bathroom on the main floor that has a very spacious walk-in top to bottom tiled shower. There is a large/utility laundry room with a washer and dryer available for guest use. The stairs off the living area lead to the open loft area. This fun space has a ping pong/pool table and is stocked with plenty of board games! The loft also has 2 futons for additional sleeping arrangements. This space also has a 1/2 bath for your convenience. Safety features include fire extinguishers, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, and a first aid kit. The driveway leading to the rental is extremely steep. An all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. There are detailed instructions posted at the rental on how to best navigate the driveway. *** Please note there is no gas station on Lummi Island and you will need to fill up before you arrive. *** For guests traveling between April and June- The Whatcom Chief Ferry goes in to dry dock for maintenance. This means that there is no substitute for a vehicle ferry service and the island is only accessible via ferry for foot passengers and bikes. Dry dock season typically lasts for about 3 weeks and exact dates are posted on The Whatcom County website. Although we love our pets, some of our guests have sensitivities to pet dander. When left alone some animals tend to get curious in a new space. Therefore, if you plan to leave the rental, your pets will need to accompany you. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds under any circumstances. Failure to follow these rules will result in additional fees.
