Birthplace of the author of The Star-Spangled Banner, Keymar, MD was home to Francis Scott Key. This original General Store (now our Guesthouse), on old Key property that was built in the late 1800s, has been impeccably remodeled to allow you every comfort while being centrally located to historic Gettysburg, PA, Frederick, MD, the beautiful Catoctin Mountains, Mount Saint Mary’s University, Liberty Mountain Ski Resort, and so much more. Settle into history. The space 1st floor is open concept with views from front to back. Living room with comfortable sofa/chaise and 65” TV. Dining table sits 6 comfortably. Fully equipped kitchen that flows into a cozy bar with seating for 4. Laundry room/pantry and 3-piece bathroom on the first floor. Unique 2nd floor, open concept yet semi-private layout. 2 large (old), semi-transparent, industrial window panels and double doors create two sleeping rooms. Main bedroom with a MCM queen platform bed on the other side of the windows/doors separating the 2nd floor space. 2 full beds in open room at top of stairwell. 3 piece bathroom on 2nd floor. Air mattress available upon request. Other things to note The stairs leading to the 2nd floor are narrow. Even though there is a railing, this property may be unsuitable for children and for people with mobility challenges. Please inquire before booking if you have any concerns.
