Description
Situated in a quiet Conservation Area, this park & river-side property overlooks a Grade 2 listed bridge & the River Chew. "Dapps Hill Haven" is a great location to explore historic Bath & Bristol as the train station is 12 mins walk & then 9 mins ride right into the centre of either city. What better way to avoid parking hassle and charges! This completely redecorated elegant apartment is on a no-through road, close to restaurants, pubs, shops & cafes. Lovely country walks start very closeby. The space This was my home for many years before I started renting out. I loved being close to the town for pubs and shopping, the close proximity to the park for short walks, contemplating the world while on the bridge, and taking long country walks along the river. I hope you will enjoy staying here as much as I loved living at "Dapps Hill Haven". The property is a maisonette which means you enter on the ground floor and immediately walk upstairs to the first floor which is the main living area (lounge, kitchen, bathroom, dining room and a bedroom). Then there are more stairs to the second floor where there are two bedrooms and a shower room. There is a flat underneath the maisonette where our lovely neighbours live. The property was completely renovated in December 2022 with all rooms and common areas repainted plus new rugs and curtains added. There is a stylish lounge overlooking the park, with a brand new 43 inch HD TV with freeview and apps for Netflix, Prime, Apple TV etc and Alexa ready. There is high speed fibre broadband throughout. Next to the lounge is a fully-equipped kitchen with oven, fridge/freezer. microwave and dishwasher and complete set of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery for 6. Most appliances throughout the property are brand new and are Which? Best Buys. The elegant dining room has views over the River Chew and bridge. It can also function well as an office (as it did for my business a few years ago) or home work space, and the high speed fibre broadband is perfectly capable of running Zoom calls and more. The bathroom has a full bath, ideal for relaxing after walks or for bathing children, plus toilet and sink. It also houses the brand new washing machine. There are 3 bedrooms in the property. Bedroom 2 has the option of two single beds or, zipped together, can form a super king. Just tell us the preferred layout when booking so we can have this ready for you. There is a full sized wardrobe, bed-side tables and touch lamps. The other two bedrooms are upstairs. Bedroom 1 has sloping ceilings, a king sized bed, huge period wardrobe, vanity table and mirror, plus bedside tables with elegant lamps each with 2 built-in USB points. Bedroom 3 also has sloping ceilings, two single beds, a built-in wardrobe, a chest of drawers, bedside tables and touch lamps. In between Bedrooms 1 and 3 is the shower room, so guests have the option of a shower or bath when they stay, plus toilet and sink. There is central heating in every room of "Dapps Hill Haven" controlled by a regularly serviced combi boiler. Outside is a pretty entrance courtyard to sit out in, complete with rattan coffee table and chairs for sitting out with your morning coffee, bird bath, plant pots, hanging baskets and even a stone Budda. There has been a settlement at Keynsham (pronounced "Cane-sham") since prehistoric times, and two Roman villas have been excavated. The town is mentioned in the Doomsday Book, commissioned in 1086 by William the Conqueror. More recently, Keynsham was famous for Fry's (then Cadbury's) chocolate factory, pools man Horace Batchelor in the 1960's ("spelt k-e-y-n-s-h-a-m") and England cricketer Marcus Trescothick. For more history see Wikipedia. Guest access 6 guests have complete access to the entire property, 4 guests have access to all except one bedroom which will remain empty. There is no-one else in residence at "Dapps Hill Haven", you have this lovely apartment all to yourselves! Other things to note We have made every attempt to make sleeping at "Dapps Hill Haven" as comfortable as possible. All duvets are luxury duck/goose feather and down with duvet covers 100% Egyptian cotton (800 thread in Bedroom 1 and 200 thread in Bedrooms 2 and 3). There is spare bedding and throws, should additional warmth be needed in the depth of winter. Many appliances are brand new and most are Which? Best Buys so are more likely to be reliable and efficient. The high speed fibre Broadband is available throughout the property to give good streaming bandwidth for movies, Zoom calls and more. There is free on street parking in front of the property, with more around the corner if your party has several cars.
