Big River Farm - "The Zendo"

HIDDEN in the Redwoods of the Northern California Coast, just 6 miles from the Village of Mendocino, Big River Farm is a tranquil getaway just minutes from the Pacific Ocean & multiple opportunities for exploring. The tranquil forest setting provides a peaceful home base. The space Big River Farm was once a Zen commune in the 60's. We have retained much of the flavor of that time. There are 4 dwellings on the property, strategically situated to have privacy from each other, but sharing the driveway, orchard & garden. The Zendo is a REDWOOD HOUSE nestled amongst the ferns and cherry trees, and can sleep 4 between its cozy BEDROOM w/ queensize bed and LIVING ROOM w/ very comfortable queensize pullout sleeper couch. We have satellite wifi at the Zendo, so guests can check their email & surf the web. We have limited data, however, and streaming video or audio is restricted. The LARGE KITCHEN is well-equipped for cooking and entertaining. A couple or individual could enjoy the spacious single bedroom house, or up to 4 guests can comfortably share an incredibly AFFORDABLE vacation house. Guest access SURROUNDED by Big River State Forest land, Big River Farm is only 1 mile by hiking trails from the Big River, and hosts many enormous ANCIENT REDWOOD TREES. Make sure to come in the summertime and fall too, when the BERRY BUSHES and ORCHARDS are bursting with ripe goodies! Other things to note We now have unlimited internet. There is a house phone for those whose cell phones don't work well (AT&T, TMobile, Sprint). Verizon & USCellular work fine.
