Set in a beautiful Grade II listed courtyard, Shippon Cottage re-opened in March 2024 after an extensive refurbishment.. This spacious and romantic cottage (complete with a four poster bed) exudes comfort and charm with its antique furnishings & terrace garden. Shippon Cottage, at Spring House Farm, is a 15 minute walk to Castleton. Set on Lose Hill, in the Peak District National Park, this dog friendly cottage is ideal for exploring the area with Mam Tor, literally, on the doorstep. The space A lovely cottage in a unique setting, Shippon Cottage is a short walk along quite lanes and tracks to the pretty village of Castleton. Well behaved dogs (max one) are welcome. (No puppies, young dogs or aggressive breeds please.) The cottage is fully equipped with everything you might need during your stay. In addition to the four poster bed, there is a sofa bed in a separate adjoining room, ideal for a third guest, whether child or teenager. Guest access Guests have full access to the terrace and garden of approximately a quarter of an acre at the rear of the cottage. There is plenty of parking space on the gravel terrace area. Other things to note In addition to Shippon Cottage there is a second holiday cottage, Harry Eyre Cottage that sleeps 4. Combined the two cottages sleep 6/7 people. For 2024 the main house, Spring House Farm (sleeps 8) is available for rent too (in May to September). Also new, is a Shepherd's Hut (sleeps 2) adjacent to the house and cottages. For all guests, whether walkers, cyclists and climbers we have ample room to store bikes and equipment.
