The space Firebrook is perfect for family and groups of friends. A spacious, fully stocked kitchen looks out onto great room with a dining room table that seats 10 and a comfortable seating area, perfect for hosting dinners, playing games, or enjoying the view. A second cozy living room has a wood-burning stove. Four bedrooms and three full baths provide plenty of space. Our huge, wrap-around deck has majestic views of rolling hills and stunning sunsets year round. It’s a large property, with tons of room for kids and pets to run safely. Beautiful greenery and blooms, plus 2 fire pits, and a babbling brook. Our home is family- and kid-friendly. We have toys, books, and games including: board games, soccer nets, croquet, bocce, corn hole, kuub. We’ve turned the master bedroom into a kids room equipped with books and games and we have a pack-n-play and highchair for our youngest guests. Guests can control the central air, making for a comfortable stay any time of year. While we leave our belongings at the house, there’s always room in dressers and closets for guests. Well-behaved, house-trained dogs are welcome on approval. Guest access You will have the house to yourself during your stay. The barns and the basement are not open to guests. Other things to note We are close to hikes, rivers, waterfalls, antiquing, and orchards and pick-your-own farms. Bard College, the Omega Institute, and the Dutchess County Fairgrounds are all a short drive away. After a day exploring, enjoy a relaxing evening back at the property. The house has a wood burning stove and a stone fire pit on one patio and a Solo Stove on the other (designed for easy, smoke-free fires). A big gas grill and outdoor seating is perfect for warmer days on the deck with friends and family. We have indoor and outdoor games for kids and adults.
