Boasting 5 Bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with room for up to 14 guests, Crooked Landing is the premiere property on the shores of Crooked Lake in Northern Michigan. The home is located in the middle of the best of Up North. Guests can take short drives to the towns of Harbor Springs and Petoskey as well as nearby ski resorts of Nubs Nob and The Highlands. A day trip to Mackinaw Island is a short drive away. The space Crooked Landing is a comfortable, modern lakefront getaway featuring 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The house comes comfortably furnished with all the ammenities of home. Cook in the well-stocked kitchen or enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the many incredible dining options nearby! The property is perfect for large groups and families. It features a spacious comfortable living area with and expansive Crooked Lake view. For the colder days and evenings the living area has a cozy wood burning fireplace (wood is available on property) The large kitchen and dining area has plenty of space for everyone. Additionally, the lower level has a living space with a TV and sofas which allow space to spread out and relax. Three of the five bedrooms feature lake views. Four of the Five bedrooms have comfortable king size beds and the fifth has 2 bunk beds (4 twin beds), a great space for kids to hang out. The lower level living space has a queen sized sofa bed. Outdoors it is all about the lake! There is a large raised exterior deck off the back of the home, providing guests amazing lake views. The deck has plenty of seating for everyone. Just off the deck on the lakefront is a firepit for roasting marshmellows, making s'mores and sharing stories. The dock has space for multiple boats or watercraft for guests to access the area lakes. Crooked Lake is perfect for fishing and watersports. The water off the dock is clean and clear with a sandy bottom. Boat rentals are conveniently located at nearby Windjammer Marina, which is a short walk from Crooked Landing. Guest access Guests can enjoy the private property including yard space, fire pit, and, of course, your own private dock on Crooked Lake. The house comes equipped with complementary canoes for your enjoyment. The neighborhood also has a walking path along the lakefront, allowing guests to take a stroll along the shores of Crooked Lakes and take in the views. Other things to note The home is located a short drive from the quaint towns of Petoskey and Harbor Springs. There is a large selection of fantastic dining, boutique shops and other activities available a short distance away. Mackinaw City is an easy 30 minute drive up US 31 allowing guests to take in a day on historic Mackinaw Island. Crooked Landing is perfect for guests that enjoy the outdoors of Northern Michigan any time of the year. For those that like to get out on adveture, the Petoskey to Mackinaw trail is located across the street. This is an excellent Biking, Walking and Running path in the summer and also allows guests to access the hundreds of miles of nearby snowmobile trails in the winter. Additionally, the two of the top ski resorts in the midwest, The Highlands at Harbor Springs and Nubs Nob are a short 10 minute drive from the property. The parking area can accommodate up to six vehicles. The dock allows guests to tie up boats or jetskis to access the area lakes. Crooked Lake is the Navigable headwaters to the Inland Waterway. This waterway allows boaters to access over 40,000 acres of inland lakes and rivers. It is the largest Inland boating area in all of Michigan! Boaters can start their journey in Crooked Lake and take the 40 mile journey all the way to Lake Huron. Accessing Burt Lake via the Crooked River, Mullet Lake Via the Indian River and finally Lake Huron via the Cheboygan river. This entire waterway is navigable by boat. Crooked Lake is perfect for both watersports as well as fishing. It is also shallower than many other area lakes, which keeps the waters relatively warm compared to other areas.
