Villa Heidi at beach with pool - Zanzibar

The house is located approx. 8 km south of Stone Town Zanzibar in Chukwani directly at the beach. There are two terraces in the garden, one swimming pool and you have direct access to the beach. The house itself has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, one living room and dining room as well as a large balcony. Furthermore, there is a large fully- equipped kitchen and a garage. We are looking forward to welcome you! The space My family built this very nice villa at the end of the 90s. We spent a lot of wonderful holidays here together. In recent times we could not travel to Zanzibar that much, so we decided to open this dream villa for you and your holiday! The house will be rented out exclusively for you, so there will be no other guests during the time of your stay. The villa is located approx. 8km south of Stone Town Zanzibar in the chukwani area, a little off the main road. The house is in quiet surroundings on a plot directly at the beach. In the spacious garden you will find two terraces, one swimming pool and a gate with direct access to the beach. The rental income helps us to maintain this house and the garden. Your booking also helps to secure jobs and the income to four local families and assignments with local service companies. There is a caretaker’s house on the plot, hidden by a small hedge. The caretaker is responsible for the cleaning of the pool and the gardening. The villa itself has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a spacious living and dining room. There is also a large balcony on the first floor. Furthermore, you have a large fully- equipped kitchen including fridge and freezer, oven, microwave, and electric stove. There is an AC in the upper three Bedrooms. There is a garage which can be used for your rental car if you have one. The house is completely self-designed by my parents and my sisters, who used only good materials for the construction and the interiors. The pool is not heated but always has a nice comfy temperature around 25 degrees Celsius. The pool has a depth of 1,5 m. Children must be able to swim and can only use the pool when the parents are around to take a look. At the edge of the garden, you have the chance to watch beautiful sunsets from our ocean view terrace. Guest access The house is rented exclusivly. There are no other guests in the house during your stay. We have a caretaker living on the same plot with his family. His house is right next to our house but they leave the guests their privacy. The pool is not totaly hidden (as you can see on the pictures) but no one else will share it with our guests during their stay. Please note that the "Villa Heidi" is a holiday home not a hotel or guest house. This means that our guests prepare their own meals. Please make sure you provide yourself with water, drinks and food. The house is reserved for you only. There are no other guests in the house during the time of your stay! The following services are included in the rent: electricity, gardening, pool maintenance, round-the-clock contact person at hand. The following services are available at an extra charge: chauffeur with mpv van, sightseeing tours round the island, shopping service, daily cleaning of rooms including the changing of bed clothes and towels if required. Other things to note At weekends there might be music noise from a nearby discotheque in the evening. During the week and during the day it is a totaly quiet and relaxing spot. FAQ How many people can stay in the house? You can rent the house as a single person or couple but it is also suitable for groups up to eight people. We have three double beds and one Zanzibar size 1 1/2 bed in the house. The ideal maximum amount is seven people but it is also possible for eight. How far is the house from the beach? The Villa is directly at the beach and has direct access to the beach. Can I swim in the sea in front oft he house? You can swim in the sea in front of the house if the tide is high enough. There is no lifeguard on duty. Do you have service staff? Our house has no service staff. We have a gardener and caretaker and a cleaning person for cleaning the house before the guests arrive and after they have left. Are there any restaurants or bars nearby? The most restaurants and bars are in stone town. (15 -20 minutes drive). There are one or to local pubs close to the house. Our house manager can give you suggestions. Shops and two supermarkets are about 5 minutes drive away. There are some local groceries in walking distance. How do we get to the shopping places? Our house manager will help you to find the shops and the restaurants. He can also drive you to the destinations (please check the price for that with him directly on location) Is the neighbourhood safe? The neighbourhood is very safe. Is it a quiet location? As I wrote already in the description, there might be music noises on Weekends from a discotheque near by. How do I pay for the rent? The payment is done through airbnb. Please follow the instructions on the airbnb website. We do not know if they offer deposit payment. Do you have Wi-Fi in the house? There is no Internet Wi-Fi in the house but our house manager can help you to buy a local SIM Card with internet credit for your phone. Is the fare per person or for the complete house? The fare is for the complete house. Are we alone in the house or are there other guests with us? The house is rented exclusively to you. There are no other guests in the house during your stay. Can other people see me if I swim in the pool? There is no one else in the house during your stay. Only our caretaker could be around in the garden. Our staff is adviced to leave the guests their privacy. Is the Pool suitable for children? The pool has a depth of 1.60m. There is no shallow area for children. Parents are adviced to have always an eye on their children while they use the pool or playing near it. Can we have a party in your house? The house is not suitable for parties with many people but as long as you do not disturb the neighbours or other people you can have a small party in the house. Do not damage any furniture and other household objects. Always respect the local people. Do you have a car we can rent? We do not let cars but our house manager can help you to find a car rental for you.
