Carramar Estate: Alongside Grand Clifftop Walk

One of the first country estates to be built in the Blue Mountains, Great-Gatsby mansion, breathtaking views over Blue Mountains National Park, footsteps from Conservation Hut. Nestled on the very edge of Wentworth Falls, Valley of the Waters, Empress Falls & Grand Clifftop Walk 2 homes, 6 beds, 3 living rooms, spa, stunning mountain views, 100 year old private forest on 2 acres. We allow gatherings and events, but approval is required. Look for Carramar Estate Blue Mountains The space Carramar is a heritage-llsted Great Gatsby-style estate with 2 homes next door to each other on their own private grounds The larger house had gorgeous mountain views, marble fireplaces, 4 beds, 2 baths and 2 elegant living areas. It has 12 foot high ceilings, crystal chandeliers and many beautiful Heritage-listed features. It has been beautifully appointed with period furnishings, original Australian artworks and luxe details for your stay. The Coach house is a separate building, recently and gorgeously re-furnished with 2 queen-sized loft/upstairs bedrooms a large and luxe living area with wood fireplace, large kitchen, elegant dining, and spacious bathroom. There is a huge 2 acre garden all around the estate, making it utterly private, with your own fields to picnic in, private forest with 100 year old trees, and lawns large enough for croquet or cricket. There are 6 bedrooms sleeping 12 comfortably between the two houses. (6-8 sleeping in the Main House and 2-4 in the Coach House). Carramar Main House has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, full top-notch chef’s kitchen, dining room, outdoor dining areas (2), laundry, 2 decks, verandahs and a large patio. Carramar coach house has 2 Queen beds, full kitchen, spacious bathroom, dining room, deck, and a large, luxe living room. It is best suited for a wonderful family/friends get-together, a lovely luxe girls weekend away or unique corporate retreat. A special note on gatherings and events: As a landmark property, we are often asked about birthdays, gatherings and weddings We allow special events like weddings, family birthdays and elopements, but conditions and extra fees apply. We need to approve any events of gathering We welcome events, but only with prior approval and only with our management partner. Info can be found by looking for Carramar Estate Blue Mountains Any guests at all over and above the overnight guests you have disclosed and booked for, is an event, even day visitors. If you invite anyone without prior approval, we reserve the right to cancel the booking with no refund; and/or apply a usage fee of $200 per person. If cameras are tampered with we will impose a $500 penalty If you are having a wedding or elopement (even if the ceremony is not being held at Carramar and is happening nearby), please let us know. It is a requirement of our guest rules. You are not permitted to have any wedding guests onsite at all, or any photos or any elements of a wedding without approval We also do not allow the same guest group to instant-book the 2 properties separately - if you want to stay at both homes or the whole estate, this is by approval only, and we will require a damages deposit Guest access Each home has private private parking right next to it. You can stroll to the Conservation Hut and step right onto world famous hiking trails, which take you straight to stunning waterfalls like Wentworth Falls, Empress Falls and Canyon, Queen Victoria lookout, Lyrebird lookout and others. These are just a short hike from Carramar with no need to drive to start the walk. Leura Mall is a 5 minute drive away and Wentworth Falls Village is a 2 minute drive away. Other things to note Please note: any events or gatherings and any additipnal guests with prior approval only . We do not allow airbnb services because of the heritage listing. We have three separate listings. This listing is for the whole estate and sleeps 12. There is also a listing for the Main House Only (Carramar House) and Coach House only (Coach house on Murphys Lane ) We have had guests book the main house for 8, and accidentally assume they had booked the whole estate. The Coach house is nestled in the corner of the 2 acre Carramar estate. While both houses are on the same large estate, each home has its own private access, carparking, own gardens, decks and verandahs, and fences and hedges dividing them We welcome pets but have some rules, and will need to ask about your pets and if they are trained before we approve a pet stay. Because we are right next to the Blue Mountains National Park we have a lot of wildlife, including wild ducklings, rosellas, possums and King parrots lovkmg there and bulding families .
