Bethesda Lake Resort & Cabins is located on and around Bethesda Lake. Bethesda Lake was constructed in 1925 and was set to be the centerpiece to a resort back in those days, complete with a golf course that was in the original plan. The plan for this resort fell by the wayside and the Great Depression led to the complete collapse of the plan to create the resort back in those days. Moving forward a few years, the Watkins family became the owners of the property and built some smaller cabins and also hosted seasonal swimming for an annual fee. The resort at that time was known as Lake Bethesda Resort. Lake Bethesda Resort closed in the late 60s at the will of the Watkins family at that time. During the following 50 years, minimal maintenance was performed on the property and it became completely ran down. The cabins were bulldozed and the beauty of the lake and surrounding property became covered in unsightly brush. Roll forward to 2019, Michael & Jessica Myers (owners of Bethesda Springs Properties), purchased Bethesda Lake and the surrounding land with a passionate vision to restore the property to it's original glory, and maybe take it to a level that is even better. Michael & Jessica, with the help of local craftsmen, began bringing their vision to life with the construction of cabins on or near the lake.
