Tucked away in a private "holler" on the quiet side of the Smokies, our cabin is a true sanctuary where the only neighbors you’ll see are the local wildlife. Whether you are a couple seeking a romantic hideaway or a small family wanting a wooded adventure, this is the peaceful Tennessee experience you’ve been looking for. What You’ll Love About Mountain Air: ・Total Seclusion: No other cabins in sight. You are surrounded by forest and a small, seasonal rain-fed creek. ・The "Secret" Entrance: Skip the Pigeon Forge traffic! We are just 6 miles from the Metcalf Bottoms entrance to the National Park. ・Single-Level Living: No stairs to navigate inside the cabin. ・Cozy Vibes: Two gas fireplaces (Master Suite + Living Room) available October–March. ・Relaxation: A private hot tub on the elevated rear deck and a jetted tub in the second bath. ・Outdoor Fun: A dedicated fire pit area for roasting marshmallows under the stars. The Layout: ・Master Suite: King bed, flat-screen TV, private gas fireplace, and ensuite bath (tub/shower combo). ・Bunk Room: Twin-over-full bunk bed and ensuite bath featuring a relaxing jetted tub. ・Living Area: Queen sleeper sofa and another gas fireplace for cozy movie nights. ・Kitchen: Well-equipped for home-cooked meals after a long day of hiking. One of the best things about staying on the "quiet side" is that you’re close to everything, but away from the noise. ・6 Miles ⏤ Great Smoky Mountains National Park: Access the park via the peaceful Metcalf Bottoms entrance. Guest access The entire cabin and grounds are yours to enjoy! We use a secure digital keypad for self-check-in. Your unique door code and a link to our digital guidebook (filled with our favorite local "insider" tips) will be sent 2 days before arrival. Note: The interior housekeeping closet and exterior crawl space remain locked for owner use. Other things to note Mountain Air is ideal for guests who love privacy, quiet, and a true mountain escape. Road & Parking ・Private gravel road, may be considered steep/narrow in places. AWD or 4WD recommended; low-clearance vehicles, trailers, and motorcycles not advised. ・Drive video available: search web for #mountainair37862. 2. Security & Wildlife ・Exterior camera at front entrance and decibel-level noise monitor. ・Bears, turkeys, bobcats, raccoons, and other critters live nearby. Never leave food or trash outside or in vehicles. ・Occasional insects, especially lady bugs, may enter despite pest control. 3. Rental Requirements ・Primary guest must: sign Renter Agreement, provide ID, authorize $300 refundable security hold (not a charge). 4. Dogs ・One dog under 30 lbs welcome; pet fee applies. ・Please keep pets off furniture & crated if left alone. 5. Connectivity ・Starlink Wi-Fi provided; occasional interruptions possible. ・Cell service is weak—perfect excuse to unplug! 6. Seasonal Amenities ・Propane fireplaces active Oct 1–Mar 31—perfect for cozy winter nights. ・Firewood not provided; bundles available at local stores.
