The space Welcome to Mountain Air—a true 2-bedroom cozy cabin in Wears Valley where the only neighbors you will see are the local wildlife. If you are looking to escape the "cabin warehouses" and tourist traffic, you have found your spot. Tucked into a private wooded "holler," Mountain Air offers seclusion and privacy for your hot tub sessions and morning coffee. Whether you are coming for a last-minute winter getaway or planning your Spring Break hikes, this is the "Quiet Side" of the Smokies at its best. THE HIGHLIGHTS: ・Seclusion: No other cabins in your line of sight. Total privacy on the rear deck and in the hot tub. ・The "Local" Entrance: Skip the attraction-area traffic. We are just 6 miles from the Metcalf Bottoms park entrance. ・We welcome your canine friend - just 1 dog of up to 30 lbs, house-trained, and crated if left alone. ・Single-Level Living: No stairs to navigate once you are inside the cabin. ・High-Speed Wi-Fi: Stay connected or while tucked away in the woods with our Starlink Internet. ・Entertainment: We also provide DISH TV for those "wind-down" times or lazy mornings. ・In-cabin laundry access for stays of 3+ nights. ・Double the Glow: Enjoy gas fireplaces in BOTH the living room and the Master Suite (active Oct 1 through March 31st!). Guest access The entire cabin and grounds are yours to enjoy! We use a secure digital keypad for self-check-in. Your unique door code and a link to our digital guidebook (filled with our favorite local "insider" tips) will be sent 2 days before arrival. Note: The interior housekeeping closet and exterior crawl space remain locked and are only for owner use. Other things to note ⏤ HOUSE RULES & REQUIREMENTS ⏤ We love hosting hikers and peace-seekers! To protect our cabin, we require: Agreement & ID: Primary renter must e-sign our Rental Agreement and provide a government-issued ID within 24 hours of booking. Security Deposit: A $300 refundable security "hold" is placed on your card 2 days before arrival. Airbnb will specifically note this as you complete your booking. Strict "No" List: No parties, no dye or glitter, and no smoking/vaping of any kind. Logistics: AWD/4WD is strongly recommended year-round. ⏤ ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE COVERAGE ⏤ Your stay includes up to $500 of accidental damage coverage at no extra cost to you. This covers minor, reported accidents if a photo is sent at the time it occurs. It expires at checkout time, so any damage must be reported prior to checkout to be covered. ⏤ TRAVEL INSURANCE ⏤ We strongly recommend Travel Insurance for mountain bookings, as we do not refund for weather-related travel issues or road conditions. Road & Parking ・To access Mountain Air, there is a private gravel road (we do not own or control). It may be considered steep/narrow in places to those unaccustomed to mountain roads. AWD or 4WD recommended; low-clearance vehicles, trailers, and motorcycles not suitable. ・Drive video available: search web for #mountainair37862. 2. Security & Wildlife ・Exterior camera at front entrance and decibel-level noise monitor. ・Bears, turkeys, bobcats, raccoons, and other critters live throughout the Smokies region. Never leave food or trash outside or in vehicles. ・Occasional insects, especially lady bugs, may enter despite our comprehensive pest control program. 3. Dogs ・One dog under 30 lbs welcome; pet fee applies. ・Please keep pets off furniture & in a crate if left alone. 5. Connectivity ・Starlink Wi-Fi provided; occasional interruptions possible. ・Cell service is weak—perfect excuse to unplug! 6. Seasonal Amenities ・Propane fireplaces active Oct 1–Mar 31—perfect for cozy winter nights. ・Firewood not provided; bundles available at local stores for the fire pit.
