It has a lovely and lively old centre with a rich history of traditional Portuguese culture. From here, you can easily explore both the east, west and inland Algarve but Olhão is perhaps most famous as the access point to the beautiful and peaceful islands of Armona and Culatra by ferry. There are public and private ferry options are available, and they are located just a few minutes' walk from the apartment. Due to the central location, you will have lots of shops, restaurants and bars to choose from in the close vicinity of the apartment. In addition, a supermarket is located at less than 5 minutes walk. ## Transit You can quickly get around on foot or use public transport or a taxi/uber. A hire car is recommended if you want to explore the larger Algarve area. Parking in old town Olhão is accessible in most places, except along the waterfront. It can be challenging to find it, but a spot will usually be available close to the apartment. An extensive paid parking area at a nearby hotel is a good alternative for those uncomfortable navigating the old town streets. ## Notes ➤ Check-in time: 16:00-22:00 ➤ Check-out time: before 10:00 ℹ SEF REQUIREMENTS.
