Chicago The space Step into our recently renovated cottage, where every corner has been thoughtfully designed to offer a blend of modern farmhouse charm and comfortable living. Nestled by the serene Lake Tichigan, this cozy retreat is perfect for families, couples, and small groups. *This cottage shares the lakefront, pier and parking with our Cottage B.* Accommodating Spaces: Comfortably houses up to 6 adults and 2 children, featuring 3 well-designed bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Accessible Master Bedroom: Located on the ground floor, the master bedroom with a king bed and en-suite bathroom is easily accessible, perfect for guests with mobility concerns or those who prefer to avoid stairs. Additional Bedrooms: The second bedroom includes a queen bed with an en-suite bath, and the third bedroom is perfect for families, offering 2 twin beds and 2 trundle beds. Cozy Living Room: Relax by the warmth of the electric fireplace, ideal for hygge-inspired evenings or unwinding with a book. Elegant Farmhouse Decor: Each room is adorned with tasteful, modern farmhouse touches, enhancing the stunning lake vistas. Fully Stocked Kitchen: New stove, dishwasher, refrigerator from pots and pans to spices. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire cottage, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and the fully equipped kitchen and patio. Please note that while the lakefront access is shared, the pier and fire pit is a shared common area. Other things to note Please note both the standing shower in the mudroom and the shower in the queen room is on the smaller side. - Bedroom and bathroom layouts: Main bedroom (king bed) + en suite bathroom - ground floor. Queen bedroom + en suite bathroom - upstairs. Bedroom with two twin beds - upstairs. * And one shared bathroom on the ground floor. - This cottage shares the lakefront, pier and parking with our Cottage B. - Smoking is not permitted inside the house, and marijuana smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises. - As we are located by the lake, our water may have a distinct mineral scent. This is common in lake houses and is completely safe. - Please be mindful of our sewage system and avoid flushing anything other than toilet paper, as the city sewage by the lake is sensitive. - If you're interested in a leisurely outing on the lake, we offer pontoon boat rentals at $200 per night (only for summer season). - During the May-June season, lake flies are abundant. They are harmless but can be an annoyance. They typically disappear within two weeks and are a food source for fish in the lake. It is important to keep windows and doors closed at night, as they are attracted to bright lights and can enter through screen doors. - Keypad: Enter the code and then press "Unlock." The code will be sent to you 2 days before check-in. **************** We are a dog family ourselves and understand how nice it is to bring them along. We allow up to 2 dogs (DOGS ONLY) to accompany you with a non-refundable pet fee of $55 per pet per stay. Unfortunately, we are unable to host cats due to allergies. If a Guest brings a dog and does not inform us, a $1,000 pet fee will apply. A few important things to note: - The dog must be healthy, up to date on rabies and DHPP (vaccines for Distemper, Adenovirus (Hepatitis), Parainfluenza and Parvovirus) - The dog must be flea and tick free and on current treatment - Evidence of any pet soiling/damage on the furniture or bedding will incur extra cleaning or replacement fees. - Guests are responsible for cleaning up any and all dog refuse as well as cleaning the dog before she/he comes inside. Please bring your own towels to wipe dirty feet. - As responsible pet owners, Guests agree to accept full and complete responsibility for any personal injury or property damage caused by the dog or suffered by any person during Guests. - Kayaks and paddle boards are next to Cottage B and free for everyone to use. We have a total of 4 kayaks, one paddle board (adult size) and two paddle boards (kids size) all included in your stay. - Cornhole Toss Game only available for your backyard fun :) Please note: Violating our house rules may result in a $500 fine.
