Welcome to the Historic Monteith Entertainer — a massive and beautifully restored 1911 home designed for gathering, relaxing, and making memories together. Located on a quiet street in Albany’s beloved Monteith Historic District, this one-of-a-kind 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home combines timeless character with modern comforts, creating the perfect stay for large families, reunions, wedding groups, retreats, and friends traveling together. Oh how we wish we could send you a full video walkthrough — because this home is truly an experience. From the moment you walk through the front door, you feel the grandeur of a historic home built for entertaining. To the left, the formal living room welcomes you with tall ceilings, elegant woodwork, and oversized couches perfect for gathering after a long day exploring town. (Both couches are extra-long and can also be used as sleeping spaces if needed.) Beyond the living room is what was once called the “pass-through room.” Large double sliding doors open into a spacious gathering area centered around the pool table, making it one of the favorite hangout spots in the home. From there, the space flows naturally into what we lovingly call the “Garden Room.” Named after its stunning floral chandelier and soft botanical feel, this room overlooks the backyard and deck and creates such a cozy atmosphere for coffee in the mornings or movie nights by the fireplace. A large-screen TV adds even more room for everyone to spread out and relax together. The kitchen opens beautifully into the dining space, making meals and conversation easy and connected. This home was truly made for groups — there’s room to gather, room to breathe, and room to sneak away for a little quiet when needed. That’s exactly why we call it “The Entertainer.” The home spans three full levels. The downstairs level includes two KING bedrooms, one bathroom, and a fully furnished kitchen. This level can also be locked off and rented separately, making it ideal for multi-family stays or guests wanting a little additional privacy. Upstairs, you’ll find two additional KING bedrooms and one QUEEN bedroom, along with two bathrooms, including a relaxing soaker tub and two full showers. Throughout the home, guests enjoy modern conveniences such as air conditioning, central heating, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer access, and a fully equipped kitchen while still experiencing the beauty and craftsmanship of historic architecture. Located within walking distance of downtown Albany’s shops, restaurants, and local attractions, guests are also a short drive from Willamette Valley wine country, hiking trails, parks, and countless Oregon adventures. Summer in Albany is packed with festivals and events, though honestly there are too many to list. Hosting a gathering? Pet Policy: We are glad to host your pets too (as in dogs 🐶). Anything beyond that — lizards, ferrets, emotional support peacocks — needs a little pre-approval, just so we’re all on the same page. Regardless of how well trained the pet is, we have found pets do crazy things at unfamiliar locations. I really do not want to charge for cleaning carpets or floor rugs. It’s a pain, so please READ carefully! Thank you! We ask for compliance in a few house rules: 🛋️ No pets on the furniture — no matter how much they side-eye ya. 🚪 No pets in the bedrooms. We just replaced carpets and are trying to keep things fresh and fur-free. 🛏️ Bring their own bedding if possible to prevent marking or nervous accidents. Trust us, they do happen! If you don’t have any, let me know — I’ve got extra pet blankets you can use. 🚿 No pet baths in the tub. That spa day is for humans only. 🚧 Please keep them on wood flooring, use the baby gates provided or close bedroom doors to ensure compliance. 🚫 No unkenneled solo pet parties — please don’t leave your pet unattended unless properly crated. 🐶 Need pet care while you're out? We’ve got a Rover sitter on standby — just say the word. 💩 Please scoop the poop. It’s basic trail etiquette and good humaning. There is a $75 per week per pet fee for dogs (capped at $225 per month),Any other pets will be considered on a case by case basis- please inquire.
