What started as a pool house and functional space for the overnight guests of Clay has become the small business venture of business partners Clay and Lisa. Klaver Cottage is a studio-style space for travelers to rent located just outside of Joplin, Missouri. Klaver Cottage is unavailable to rent for parties or locals to gather. The whole cottage is for guest use and guests are welcome to use anything in the outside space. The cottage is detached behind Clay’s private residence so we ask that guests have no expectation of private use of the outside space or the pool as he will use the outside space and pool with family and friends at his discretion. Please park on the east side of the property in the driveway that does not lead to the house.. If you are pulling a trailer you are more than welcome to park on the road in front of the house. There are side walks from the gravel drive that will take you to the back of the house and then you’ll find Klaver Cottage. The keys will be inside the cottage on the bar countertop. The sliding glass door will be left unlocked for you. Klaver Cottage is located in a rural subdivision just outside of the Joplin, MO city limits about a 1/4 mile from historic Route 66. You can sip your morning coffee on the patio by the pool or on the patio that overlooks an empty field. If the pool cover is closed there is a keypad on the west side of the back overhang. The code is 5426 (our address) just push it and the checkmark, then the arrow in the direction you'd like the cover to open. If it has rained and there is standing water on the cover you CANNOT open the cover as it will break the pulleys and track that open and shut it. We have a pump that has to run to drain the water off the cover.
