Located on the edge of a friendly village and built on a hillside with terraces filled with fragrant flowers, citrus trees, grape vines and far-reaching views of undulating countryside and olive groves, perfect for a relaxing drink and watching the fabulous sunsets The space The house is built around a traditional inner courtyard, which gets the morning sun, making it the ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. The middle terrace features a Moroccan style covered seating area, ideal for secluded and shaded outdoor dining, and you can catch the last of the sun while you dine on the top terrace which is equipped with a relaxing outdoor lounge seating area with fireplace, kitchenette, BBQ and dining table with chairs . The variety of terraces allows you to experience the typical Spanish outdoor-living lifestyle. Most terraces are equipped for year-round use with outdoor lighting, fires, Wifi and power. With multiple terraces on different levels each with uninterrupted views over the hills, you’ll never get tired of enjoying the glorious sunsets. Just off the inner courtyard is a stunning and completely private large swimming pool, measuring 6.5 x 4 metres, with a depth of 1.0 – 1.8 metres, making the shallow end perfect for a cooling dip. You are also able to enjoy and make the most of the pool into the evening with integrated pool lights illuminating it, so the swimming doesn’t have to stop when the sun goes down! Moving indoors, there is a large open-plan kitchen-dinner, complimented by a snug/lounge area complete with wood burner for the cooler months and with stunning distant views of the undulating countryside and olive groves. The house also benefits from a separate comfortable living room for relaxing and with its own wood burner for enjoying cosy winter evenings. Upstairs there is the master bedroom with large ensuite bathroom, which overlooks the rolling hills and olive groves, and the two other bedrooms, one double and one twin, which both share a family shower room. All bedrooms come equipped with air-conditioning for those warm summer nights or warming air for the cooler months. Additional facilities include an office area with WiFi, PC & printer, which enables the ability to work remotely. There is also a secure driveway and parking area sufficient for two vehicles. Throughout the house, traditional Andalucian characteristics are abundant, which add to its authentic and individual charm, along with those necessary modern conveniences, which we have all become accustomed to and creates a true home-from-home. Casa Hiraeth is located on the edge of a pretty white village (pueblo blanco). We are lucky to have a great bar / restaurant in the village, which is only a short walk from Casa Hiraeth, so ideal if you’d prefer not to drive if going out in the evenings. For a treat, it's under 15 minutes’ drive away from a fabulous Michelin restaurant, La Finca in La Finca Bobadilla hotel, nestled in the heart of the Granada countryside, where Chef Fernando Arjona revisits local flavours using recipes from Malaga and Granada. Other things to note Casa Hiraeth is very private, even though located on the edge of a pretty white village (pueblo blanco). Being an authentic, old Cortijo and built on a mountain hillside, the steps with handrails to the middle and top terraces can be uneven, having been cut out of the rock.
