The Sanctuary in the Shenandoah Valley

Rest and unwind with your family or friends at the Sanctuary. We designed this space with gathering and connection in mind. Enjoy natural lighting and open concept living in our newly renovated 19th century church building. Meals can be prepared in the spacious kitchen and enjoyed together around a 12-foot farmhouse table. After meals transition to our spacious yet cozy living room. If you don't want to stay in, explore the Shenandoah Valley's great outdoors, rich history, and fine dining. The space Three bedrooms and a repurposed church balcony provide comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to 8 guests. Room 1: This is the master bedroom with king-sized bed located on the main floor. It has two large windows that let in soft natural light. There is a closet and a dresser. This room shares the common bathroom that has a walk-in shower. Room 2: This room has a queen-sized bed, dresser, and writing desk. It is located on the second floor. Room 3: This room is also located on the second floor and has a single day bed and trundle. Both upstairs rooms open to a common sitting area that has a large closet. They also share the upstairs bathroom that has a tub and shower. Room 4: The upstairs common sitting area has a full-size pull out sofa bed. Room 5/Balcony: The balcony has a queen-sized sofa-bed and TV/Roku. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house except for any locked storage. Other things to note SAFETY: Please be aware that there are steep spiral steps and a railing in the balcony area. GUEST NUMBER: Though the house accommodates eight our base price is for four guests. Each extra guest adds $30/night. This allows us to keep costs lower for smaller parties. Please book for the correct number of guests and communicate if there are any changes, as the final price will reflect that number.
