Almost Heaven sits on Lake Wedowee with year-round water, 12 minutes from downtown and 90 minutes from either Atlanta or Birmingham. Sleeps 13 comfortably. Stocked kitchen, luxury bedding, pool table, ping pong, arcade games, fire pit, and Starlink. Come fall, the porch turns cool, the water goes quiet, and the crappie start biting right off our dock. The open kitchen, living, and dining space was built so nobody has to choose between cooking, talking, and looking at the water. Through the French doors is the screened upper porch (no bugs, just a breeze) with outdoor seating and a dining table over the water. Morning coffee, sunset dinners, or watching a boat go by. Follow the path down to your private dock. Tie up your boat for the week, or just use the dock the way most of our guests do: extra seating, two kayaks (use at your own risk), and a 6x18 floating Lily Pad that kids and adults fight over. The fishing off this dock is no joke — guests pull crappie right from the end of it, and the bite is best in the evenings. FALL AND WINTER HERE The lake doesn't shut down when summer ends, it just gets quiet. Our water stays up year-round, roughly 26 feet at full pool off our dock. Fall brings color across the water, cool nights around the custom fire pit, and the best fishing of the year. We're 90 minutes from Atlanta and Birmingham, so football weekends fill up fast. And with three king suites plus bunk space for 13, this is an easy house for a Thanksgiving or Christmas everybody actually wants to come to. We know a great boat rental company if you'd like to rent. *The house sleeps 13 comfortably. We cap the property at 15 people total, including day visitors. We're a family lake house, not a party house, and we'd like to keep it that way. *YES, we have year round water.
