Modern, bright and quiet apartment, on the 1st floor of a historic building, located in the medieval arcades of Praça de Giraldo, with its Henriquina fountain, next to the Church of Santo Antão. The apartment has all the basic equipment and features including porcelain tableware and textiles of superior quality and weight. The bed has mattress guards and pillows, removable daily, two sheets and a duvet with cover. The plants and flowers in the apartment are natural! The space From the secular history of this building, we know, for example, that between the 16th and 18th centuries, several generations of violists settled here; at the beginning of the 20th century, the great poet Florbela Espanca lived here during part of her youth; and from the second quarter of the twentieth century onwards, a school for teaching embroidery and sewing of the Portuguese brand Oliva functioned here ... Because we love the space and wanted to respect its artistic tradition, we restored antique furniture and art and decoration objects, family, to preserve the spirit of the arts in family comfort. The apartment has private parking, about 50 meters away, in a garage. Guest access Casa das Arcadas is a self-contained apartment, fully equipped with all functional needs and basic amenities. The guests use the entire apartment and are responsible for its conservation. There are no cleaning staff in the apartment. Other things to note Regarding the prevention of Covid 19 in terms of apartment cleaning, we follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC) and Turismo de Portugal. We await the issuance of the "clean and safe" health seal. The apartment is completely cleaned and disinfected before the guests arrive but during the stay there are no employees in the apartment except: - for stays longer than a week, cleaning and disinfection is free, weekly, with change of clothes; - other circumstances to be agreed in advance.
