All laundry is done at recommended temperatures and uses products designed to provide the proper degree of sanitization. Hot Tub: Drained, cleaned, and refilled after every guest; fresh Bromine added as sanitizer. Despite recent development, the whole region is still very much “in the untamed mountains”, so wildlife and insects are pervasive. This is especially true of ladybugs, a beneficial species. We take every reasonable precaution and employ a comprehensive pest prevention program. But, you may still encounter numbers of lady bugs, their look-alike cousins (Asian Beetles), or other small critters in or around the home. We provide a special handheld vacuum especially for ladybugs. Black bears are common in the area. Be sure to read that portion of our digital guidebook. Some driving on mountain roads is necessary to reach MOUNTAINVIEW MAJESTY, but all are paved and maintained by city, county, state, or National Park Service crews. Most GPS systems give accurate directions to the home. Additional specifics will be provided before check-in. Storms in the Smokies can be accompanied by high winds. It can be important to not leave items on the decks that may be blown into the forest around the home and then pose a threat to our wildlife. These winds can also lead to downed trees, temporary power interruptions, and road closures. We cannot be responsible for these events and suggest you be properly prepared.
