There is no direct access to the river from the property, however, if you drive a mile in either direction, there is public areas to put kayaks in the water. You will have access to approximately 1/2 acre of property (grass/trees) surrounding the cabin. Our house is next door on the same property. We are very respectful of your space and privacy. You may see us doing yardwork or quietly enjoying our deck. We want you to have an exceptional stay and you will have our mobile numbers should you need anything. This cabin is NOT in remote wilderness far from everything! This cabin is on the popular road to CALFKILLER BREWERY close to everything :) From the town of Sparta you will drive about 5 minutes along a beautiful river road. The cabin is nestled among small farms, neighbors (including us - we are next door on the property) and grazing cows. We tell people we like to watch "slow tv" from the deck overlooking the very lazy river: There is nothing better than sitting on a covered porch (with ceiling fans during the summer), sipping a beverage, and watching cows with their calves and all of the wildlife that live in river habitats. And it is simply magical when the fireflies are out! The best of all worlds - you get to immerse yourself in nature, a rural farming neighborhood AND you are really close to adventures, restaurants, shopping and activities. With more caves, waterfalls, and scenic overlooks per square mile than anywhere else in the United States, Sparta TN is a great Adventure Tourism destination. We have over 100 miles of paddleable water including world-class whitewater and serene flat water. We are minutes to multiple hiking trails which range from easy to strenuous. We have gorgeous, winding country roads to explore - but you will need a car. Historic towns, shopping, restaurants, live music. There are so many fun things to see and do in the Upper Cumberland area! Only registered guests may visit and/or stay at RiverBrü Cabin.
