The private balcony overlooks the creek and the cafe patio below. Downstairs, Getaway Motor Cafe serves coffee and espresso through mid-afternoon, then shifts to craft cocktails, wine, and local beers Thursday through Saturday evenings. Downtown Carver puts you within a short walk of local shops, restaurants, and the river levee. The Ash Street trailhead is right outside your door with access to the Carver Loop Trail, Rapids River Trail, and the Minnesota River Valley Regional Trail system. Miles of hiking, biking, and seasonal trails without ever starting your car. The building dates to 1871 and every detail of the restoration was done with intention. You'll feel it. Guest access Full access to the entire second level and private balcony. Entry is through an external staircase off the back patio. Keypad code arrives the day before check-in and changes every guest. No elevator or interior stair access. Cafe patio seating may be in use when you come and go. Other things to note We invested in soundproofing well beyond code, though some ambient cafe and patio sound comes through. Most guests say it's part of the charm.
