Waterfront Luxury ~ A magical place where guests thrill to the nightly "Eagle Parade" This house is multi-level and has several small sets of stairs, which can be difficult for some people to navigate. The Bultman offers a private waterfront view of Skagit Bay that is unlike anywhere on beautiful Whidbey island. Enjoy your morning coffee while you watch the birds playing and the waves lapping right outside your window. It's open floor plan allows the kitchen, dining area and living room to be shared by everyone, while each bedroom provides a place of privacy. The private shoreline gives you access to 3 miles of secluded, walkable state park beach (at low tide). During these walks, you can find starfish, crabs, clams, oysters and many other sea-born critters. During the summer months of June through August, guests will have access to kayaks, (2 doubles and 2 singles). However, due to strong tidal currents during the other seasons, the kayaks are not available for guest use. On the south side of the home there is a fire-pit, perfect for s'mores or making your favorite campfire meals. Be sure to check out Safeway for easy access to bundles of firewood! The primary bedroom is on the first floor and offers a comfortable king-size bed with a stunning view out its french doors. These doors open up to a deck with seating for two and just a few steps down to the hot tub. It has it's own bathroom with a dual-head walk-in shower and an elegant clawfoot tub. The bunk room is also on the first floor and has a twin over twin bunkbed. While the design of the room has kids in mind, the bunk bed is low enough and sturdy enough to accommodate adults. The laundry room is connected to the bunk room and has a full size washer and dryer that guests can access, however, we do not provide laundry detergent. The upstairs landing is illuminated by 2 large windows peering towards the sky and has two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. The blue bedroom has a queen, and a full bed with a twin trundle. The coral bedroom has a queen bed and a window-seat straight out of a storybook. A guest could find themselves lost in a good book with the sounds of the seas right outside their window. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials to accommodate 10 guests. With pots, pans, plates and mugs the kitchen is ready to serve dinner for the family. It also includes child friendly plates, bowls and a high chair. The coffee station offers 3 ways of brewing, a stocked Keurig, Drip and a French press. The large refrigerator offers plenty of space for your food for your stay and a cabinet is kept empty for any pantry foods you prefer to keep out of site. On one end of the island there is a stove and on the other, there is a dedicated beverage fridge. The dining table has two large benches and 2 chairs, which can accommodate up to 10 people, and there is another table outside that can seat 8 people. When you step down into the living room, you are met with a comfortable couch, positioned to enjoy the bay view out of the large windows. A 65" 4k TV is positioned to be viewable by everyone in the great area. Outside, the deck wraps around the entire home, providing multiple seating areas for meals and socializing. On the north side of the deck you can enjoy the hot tub and a breathtaking view of the stars and Skagit bay. The clubhouse is detached from the main house and has a Ping Pong table, Foosball table, a couch and a full-size refrigerator, and bluetooth speaker. The Bultman is located at the end of a private drive so you will be given complete privacy, there are two other homes on the lane, but they are currently vacant. It is a 12 min drive to the town of Oak Harbor where you can find many different dining options from fast food to sit-down restaurants. You can also go grocery shopping at the local Safeway or Haggens. Arriving at The Bultman, you will drive down a steep private driveway. The driveway can fit multiple cars, but turning around can be tight. It is a 12-mi drive into town. There aren't ride share services available on the island, so a vehicle is required. Each seasons has its own tidal patterns which offer unique experiences and shoreline access throughout the year. As a general rule, winter tends to have high tides throughout most of the day and Summer tends to have low tides throughout most of the day. Kayaks are only available June -through August and are used at your own risk. There are two security cameras, one is for monitoring the seawall bulkhead and the other is to monitor hillside erosion. they are both placed on the exterior of the clubhouse and are positioned to afford guests as much privacy as possible. They do not have a view of the house or outside deck.
