History of the Maison Desplats/Deplà The residence is the work of the prestigious French architect Gustavo Desplats and his son Gustavo Desplats. The incredible decorated wooden staircase is the work of Saturnino Desplats, son of Miguel Desplats, Argentina's first master stairmaster and winner of the silver medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris (1889) for his staircase design.
