Quinta Vila Rachel - Winery - Flora House

Quinta Vila Rachel is located in the Natural Park of Vale do Tua, in the heart of the Douro Region, with an activity focused on wine tourism and the production of natural and organic wines. Our Farm offers its guests an organic pool where they can relax enjoying the unique landscapes of the Tua Valley. The Farm also have wine tasting activities, where the latest harvests can be tasted, as well as visits to the cellar and vineyards, where the organic and sustainable production is practiced.* The space The Flora House includes one bedroom, a private bathroom, a living room and a magnificent terrace overlooking the Tua Natural Park. Bedroom: a double king size bed ( 200 x 165 cm / 78.74 x 64.96 inches ) Living room: a sofa bed ( 185 x 140 cm / 72.83 x 55.11 inches ). The sofa bed is very comfortable and is the ideal solution for two children or to be used by an adult individually. We do not advise two adults to sleep at the same time, unless they are less than 170 cm / 5′7″ tall. The apartments have TV and air conditioning. The guest also has at their disposal a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and stove with oven. The Guest will have access to free Wifi in all the main areas of the Farm including the pool. A wonderful breakfast basket will be delivered to the apartment every morning. The baskets include seasonal organic and local foods, some harvested on the farm. There are also tasty vegan options available. Guest access Having been founded by the famous sculptors Teixeira Lopes ( Father and Son ), at Quinta Vila Rachel the concept of Art is very present and therefore it is possible to visit a museum-room in the main house where you can find statues created by the Sculptors. * The guest has at his disposal an organic pool that does not use any type of chemical product for its cleaning. This is done using specific plants that purify the water (see photos of the pool). In the vicinity of the Farm, various activities can be carried out, including a visit to the Miradouro do Ujo or hiking along the various trails marked by the Tua Natural Park. * * All activities at Quinta Vila Rachel are not included in this price and must be booked separately at least with one week in advance to ensure availability. Other things to note The Tua Valley, where Quinta Vila Rachel is located, holds the "Starlight Tourist Destination" certification, which recognizes places that can be visited with excellent conditions for stargazing, protected from light pollution, and can host tourist initiatives related to the observation of the sky as an essential part of nature. This certification was granted by the Starlight Foundation, a non-profit organization supported by UNESCO and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO/UNWTO).
