Bear Creek Lodge! sleeps 12, 5 bdr, 3 bth

Hello and welcome to the lodge. Please note this home is in the process being brought back to its beauty. However, there are new floors and rugs throughout the downstairs living area Nov 25. The price is on the lower side due to some still outdated fixtures. The lodge is very cozy, even at an impressive 2700sqft. The lodge makes a great place for multiple families to get together before and after hitting the slopes at Cataloochee, any number of hiking locations, or other events around the reg The space Please review the entire listing. The place is your little piece of the mountain. You can sit on the deck, in the shade of the willow or hike the trail leading up towards sheep back mountain (property stops short of the ridge line). There are also a couple spots along the trail to have a picnic (one with a fire pit) or even pitch a tent if someone wants to rough it for a couple days. Due to Hurricane Helene we lost the fill pipe to our pond and it silted in. It will likely be summer 26 before we can afford the dredging process and run a new inlet pipe. The shed (not locked), garage, and storage room locked contain the owner’s personal belongings and are not available for guest use. The outside decks and spaces/ grounds are not part of the cleaners responsibility and cannot be checked before every reservation. If upon arrival if you find trash or other things out of place let me know and send pictures so I can ensure it gets taken care of and the next guests do not have the same issue. Unfortunately not all guests are the same and I do apologize for them leaving the outside in unsatisfactory conditions. The porch and deck might also not be swept, depending on the time between guests again it is not part of regular cleanings. Guest access Guest Identity Verification Required As a condition of receiving access to the property and in compliance with applicable Homeowners Organization (HOO) requirements, all booking guests must successfully complete the Host’s identity verification process before check-in. Because guests are granted access to privately owned property containing valuable personal belongings, the Host requires additional verification beyond the information available through the booking platform. While Airbnb performs certain account verification measures, Hosts remain solely responsible for protecting their property, neighboring residents, and the safety of all occupants. Accordingly, the booking guest must provide: * A valid government-issued photo ID matching the reservation. * Current phone number able to reach the guest during the stay. * A current photograph clearly showing their face (if not already available on their Airbnb profile). * A publicly accessible social media profile or another reasonable means of independently verifying the guest’s identity, background, and suitability for occupancy. These verification requirements are material conditions of the reservation. The Host reserves the right to decline or cancel any reservation if the required information is not provided, cannot be reasonably verified, or if the screening process identifies information indicating that the reservation presents an unreasonable risk to the property, the community, neighboring residents, or occupants, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Guests are responsible for reviewing the listing and House Rules in their entirety before booking. By submitting a reservation request or completing a booking, the guest acknowledges that these verification requirements are mandatory conditions of occupancy and authorizes the Host to deny access to or cancel the reservation if the required verification is not completed or if the screening process identifies materially false or misleading information, evidence of fraudulent activity, threats to the safety or quiet enjoyment of the community, or other objectively reasonable concerns regarding the reservation. Any refund, if applicable, will be determined in accordance with the Host’s stated cancellation policy, under which the booking amount is retained except for applicable taxes and cleaning fees, to the extent permitted by applicable law and the terms governing the reservation. Other things to note HA rules do not allow for the property to be rented to guests under 26 years of age or guests under 26 that are not family members. Please manage expectations the home is outdated though cozy and welcoming. The pictures are current and taken during our stay over this Christmas and last Christmas however the home and grounds are in a ongoing effort of being brought back to their former glory. The house is in the mountains and although we have quarterly and on call pest control, they do appear from time to time. The house is supplied with water via a natural spring and holding tanks. During the dry months water should be used conservatively to ensure water for your stay and future guests. As the spring is regulated by the weather, if the water runs out due to naturally existing conditions I will refund the unused portion of the nightly rate costs. With that you accept that you will be responsible for finding alternative lodging and understand that we will not cover additional lodging costs or fees etc for your alternative lodging under Airbnb’s policy which this notice Supersedes and voids Airbnb’s policy.
