Cosy country cottage at the foot of the Mournes

The perfect get away for a cosy break, close to the mountains for the adventurous: cosy, relaxing and quiet if you would rather curl up in front of the fire and look at the mountains from the comfort of your sofa. A 5 minute drive will take you to the Silent Valley, the quaint fishing village of Annalong, the bustling town of Kilkeel and many excellent places to dine out. A 15 minute drive to the beautiful seaside town of Newcastle with its many shops, eateries and ice cream shops is a must. The space Bracken Cottage is a quaint little cottage that started off its life as a hen house in the early 1900's. It was eventually renovated into a small one bedroom cottage and lived in for many years before we purchased it and the house next door (which we later sold) We almost completely renovated it again turning it into a two bedroom cottage and building on a bright and airy living-dining space with windows on 3 aspects and double doors opening onto a patio with stunning views of Binian mountain. We added a log burning stove for those cosy winter evenings. It has a fully fitted kitchen with all the mod cons from dishwasher to airfyer, microwave , coffee pod machine and oven (home from home). Guest access The entire cottage and garden is all yours. A patio area with outside furniture and seating to enjoy those long summer evenings. Off road parking and enclosure for bikes and outdoor equipment.
