Description

Le Cocon is a modern and cozy mini-chalet located right on the shores of Lac Trois-Saumons. Enjoy a wood-burning fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, two terraces including one with a hot tub and panoramic views, as well as a private dock with kayaks and paddleboards. An intimate place to relax, explore nature, or simply unwind in any season. A haven for both relaxation and adventure, offering stunning landscapes all year long. Experience an unforgettable escape! The space Indoors Enjoy a warm and inviting open-concept living area with a wood-burning fireplace, perfect for cozy evenings and quality time together. The modern, fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare delicious meals while enjoying a stunning view of the lake. The bedroom includes a queen bed and bunk beds, offering a comfortable space for couples, friends or families. A sofa bed in the living room provides additional sleeping space. The bathroom features a shower and is family-friendly — a baby bathtub is available upon request. Outdoors You’ll enjoy two private terraces: • At lake level, with direct access to the water, an outdoor dining area, and a fire pit for memorable days and evenings by the lake. • An elevated terrace, equipped with a private hot tub, perfect for relaxing while taking in the panoramic lake view. Summer activities Access your private dock, with two paddleboards and two kayaks available free of charge to explore the crystal-clear waters of Lac Trois-Saumons. The lake is navigable over 6 km and allows motorboats, ideal for guests who enjoy water sports. Winter activities In winter, enjoy the frozen lake for skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or simply admiring the snowy landscape. Nearby snowmobile trails offer even more outdoor adventure. Guest access The entire chalet is yours for the duration of your stay. You have full access to the whole space, including the two terraces, the private hot tub, the outdoor fire pit, the BBQ, and the private dock with direct access to the water (or the frozen lake in winter). Parking is located at the top of the property. An outdoor staircase leads down the sloped terrain to the chalet nestled right at the water’s edge. The space is completely private: no areas are shared. Other things to note Steep terrain: The chalet is located directly on the lakefront. You must go down several steps from the parking area at the top of the property to reach the chalet. The blue building on-site is our storage shed, not a neighboring cabin. Access and parking: The driveway slope can become challenging depending on weather conditions, especially in winter. At times, we may ask guests to park at the neighboring chalet, just a few meters away, to avoid issues with the steep incline. Street parking is not permitted. Winter conditions: Good winter boots are recommended — this is Québec after all! :) And since the chalet sits at a higher elevation, snowfall can be generous. Hot tub: The hot tub is open year-round and located on the upper terrace, accessible via stairs. It is not adjacent to the chalet door, but bathrobes are provided for your comfort. Hot tub maintenance: To ensure clean and safe water, a team member may stop by briefly for maintenance during your stay. The visit is quick and discreet. Boating & water access: The lake is navigable for about 6 km. In summer, two paddleboards and two kayaks are available free of charge. Any watercraft coming from another lake must be washed at the nearby cleaning station before launching. For motorboats, a public boat ramp is available nearby (fees may apply). Indoor fireplace: The indoor wood-burning fireplace is functional, but firewood is not provided. Please bring your own. A lighter and a bit of kindling paper are supplied. Outdoor fire pit: The outdoor fire pit runs on propane — simple, clean, and easy to use. Storage: Two locked storage areas are reserved for the owner and are not accessible to guests. Outdoor activities: The scenery is beautiful year-round. Nearby activities include hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking, and snowmobiling. Don’t miss the free observation tower, accessible by car or on foot. Nearby village: Saint-Jean-Port-Joli (20 minutes away) offers charming artisans, woodcarvers, boutiques, and excellent restaurants.
