Description

Le Cocon is a modern and warm mini-chalet directly on the shores of Lake Trois-Saumons. Enjoy a wood-burning fireplace, full kitchen, two terraces including one with hot tub and panoramic views, private dock, kayaks and paddle boards. An intimate place to relax, explore nature or simply unwind in any season. A place of relaxation and adventure in the middle of nature, it reveals beautiful scenery every season. Experience an unforgettable escape! The space Inside Enjoy a warm atmosphere with the open plan living room, where a wood-burning fireplace awaits for comforting evenings and good times in good company. The modern and well-equipped kitchen allows you to prepare delicious meals, to be enjoyed with stunning views of the lake. The bedroom includes a queen size bed and a bunk bed, offering a comfortable space for couples, friends or families. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom with shower is also equipped to accommodate the little ones with a baby bath on request. Outside Two private terraces: one at the lake for direct access to the water with dining area and fireplace the other one up high, equipped with a spa, to relax while admiring the panoramic view. Water and summer activities: access to our private dock with two paddle boards and two kayaks available for free to explore the crystal clear waters of Lake Trois-Saumons. The navigable lake, 6 km long, accepts motorboats for water sports enthusiasts. Winter sports: in winter, enjoy the frozen lake for skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or simply admire the snowy landscape. Snowmobile trails are also accessible nearby, for maximum fun. Guest access The entire chalet is available for your use during your stay. You will have access to the entire chalet, both terraces, private hot tub, outdoor fireplace, BBQ, as well as private dock and waterfront (or frozen lake in season). Parking is at the top of the property. An outdoor staircase leads down to the cottage nestled by the lake. Other things to note Steep terrain: The chalet is located directly on the lake. You have to go down several steps to access it from the parking lot at the top of the grounds. The blue building on site is our shed and not a neighboring cottage. Access and parking: The parking slope can become difficult depending on weather conditions, mainly in winter. It is sometimes necessary to ask guests to park at the neighboring cottage, located just a few meters away to avoid any problems with the steep slope of the parking lot. Street parking is not allowed. In winter, good winter boots are recommended. We are in Quebec here! :) and at altitude, so the snow is generous. Hot tub: The hot tub is open year-round and is on the terrace at the top of the steps. It is not adjacent to the chalet door, but we provide bathrobes for your comfort. Hot tub maintenance: To ensure clean and safe water, a member of our team may briefly visit for maintenance during stays. The visit is quick and discreet. Navigation & Launch: The lake is navigable for about 6 km. In summer, two paddle boards and two kayaks are available free of charge on site. All boats from other bodies of water must be washed at the nearby wash station before launching. For boats, the lake has a public launch ramp (fees apply). Indoor fireplace: The indoor fireplace runs on wood. We do not provide wood. Please bring your own wood. A lighter and some kindling paper are provided. Outdoor fireplace: Outdoor propane fireplace, simple and safe to use. Storage: Two locked spaces are reserved for the owner and are not accessible to guests. Outdoor activities: The scenery is beautiful all year round. Nearby: hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking and snowmobiling. Don't miss the free lookout tower, accessible by car or on foot. Nearby village: Saint-Jean-Port-Joli (20 minutes) welcomes you with its artisans, sculptors and excellent restaurants.
