La Hacienda Ojo de Agua is a luxury rural house retreat on a hilltop setting for total privacy. Located only 3 kms from Canas & 9kms from Playa Venao, Panama. New gourmet restaurants are here & numerous beach front bars have made their debut in our area along with evening beach musical entertainment and cool markets and festivals. ‎My gourmet kitchen is set up to host the most discriminating chefs with stainless steel countertops and Italian gas stove. The double commercial refrigerator freezer with ice maker is a must in a tropical climate. All high quality appliances and cookwear are at your disposal. Fully stocked with dish/glass wear for 10 people. ‎The main house consist of two air conditioned master suites with large ensuite bathrooms and private closets. One suite hosts a Queen bed with 2 full twin beds. It has an entrance to the pool and large open air shower and separate closet. The King bed master suite is separate from the main living quarters with a queen bed reading nook and large ensuite bathroom with soaking tub and limestone tiled double rain head shower. Both suites have unique features to relax your senses and make you unwind. ‎There is also a half bath off the kitchen living area for party dinner guests. ‎The main house has a 6 adult with 2 teen/ children capacity. Eight adults are allowed for short term stays only. Children are welcome under close supervision because of close proximity to pool and deck with no railing…. Infinity pool is steps away from main living room and both bedrooms. The pool is professional maintained daily & weekly and the propery has a fulltime property manager and caretaker 24/7. We offer Private chef and laundry services if needed, for a fee. No guest use of laundry room.., except for longer than 2 week stay or monthly stay. ‎The entire property is fenced and gated for your privacy. ‎The property is 13 acres with numerous walking trails and four troops of Howler monkeys along with Capuchin and the rare Azuero Spider monkey in danger of extinction. I do have a 32” TV but you need to have your own fire-stick or password access to your own streaming devices..no basic cable…Netflix provided. Please bring a flashlight . We have them in both houses but sometimes they find legs and you will need your very own! We do have periodic power losses due to rain/wind or scheduled outages due to repairs. If this happens please know there are emergency lights in all rooms and candles in kitchen drawers. It usually happens at late night so you loose AC for a few hours. I will let you know if there is a scheduled outage planned. If happen during day I will run Generator for light & fans and refrigerator only. There is a $200 power usage “credit” for a stay of 2 weeks and if you exceed this limit you will be charged the excess power bill. Power is very expensive in Panama and AC usage is not 24/ 7 or when you are away from house. AC in bedrooms only. Thank you for conserving electricity. We never lose water due to power loss. Conserve. Water please it is dry season. Remember you are in Panama and things run slower...... Our septic systems are great, but because we do not have “roto rooter” in Panama, please put all toilet paper in trash cans. You have extra bags under your sinks and you can remove daily if needed to large cans beside garage. Please leave all house trash at can on Sat evening for pick up. We are in the dry season now and is much warmer , so-please try and run AC at night only to save on electricity …Thank you so much Please conserve AC and keep doors closed when AC is on. Please turn off when you are leaving house. These units cool the bedrooms very fast. All windows open for fresh air and have screens. At dusk the French doors need to be closed due to bugs entering the house. All windows in main room can stay open. Outside lights around the pool must be turned off before bed unless you want a lot of bugs in the pool in the morning. It is tropical so everything wants the water!! My pool maintenance company comes on early Wednesday mornings ….but we do clean pool daily upon your request. We have floats for the pool.. All our water comes from a natural spring. No need for bottled water. Remember to contact me upon your arrival in Panama the day before you travel to our area. I will have any travel updates and you need to have a check in plan and time of arrival. Please try and make it to the house by 8pm….. After dusk in our area is very hard to see certain rural roads and driveways. We use Mas Movil carrier in my area in case you are buying a SIM card. There will be limited cell service or WiFi on the way from Pedasi or Las Tablas to My House, so contact me before your final hour drive. Please ask me any questions before your adventure begins. Follow La Hacienda signs to top wooden gate. Parking is for 3-4 cars and due to nature of hilltop driveway please no tiny cars. Our main road from Canas to Tonosi and Pedasi is newly paved and our property road has new gravel. No road issues. We have natural spring water and are very conscious of conservation.
