Surrounded by woods and set back from the road, this home offers a peaceful sense of seclusion while keeping the best of Saugatuck and Douglas just minutes away. The outdoor space is the true star of the property. In summer, the private swimming pool becomes the heart of the home—perfect for cooling off during the day or enjoying an evening swim under the stars. The pool deck is thoughtfully furnished with comfortable seating and dining space, ideal for sunny lunches, evening cocktails, or quiet moments with a good book. The private hot tub is open year-round, offering a relaxing soak no matter the season. Serene wooded views and frequent wildlife sightings enhance the sense of escape. Inside, the home is warm, comfortable, and designed with togetherness in mind. The main level features multiple inviting spaces to chat, play games, sip morning coffee, or unwind after a day of exploring. The living room offers a seasonal fireplace, a Smart TV, and additional sleeping space with two sofa sleepers—perfect for cozy movie nights. The dine-in kitchen is spacious and well-equipped with everything needed to prepare meals with ease. Enjoy casual mornings in the breakfast nook or gather around the dining table, which comfortably seats eight, for shared meals and long conversations. French doors lead from the dining area to a screened porch overlooking the pool, where comfortable furnishings create a peaceful spot to relax in any weather. A full bathroom with a walk-in shower is conveniently located on the main level. Upstairs, two spacious bedrooms and a full bathroom provide quiet, comfortable retreats with plenty of storage and natural light. The pool house adds an extra layer of flexibility and fun. This detached space features a bunk bed, a sofa sleeper, a Smart TV, and its own updated bathroom with a custom-tiled shower—making it ideal for kids, teens, or anyone who appreciates a little extra privacy while still being steps from the pool. Just a short drive from downtown Douglas and downtown Saugatuck, Poolside offers easy access to shopping, dining, parks, and waterfront strolls. Please Note: - The third bedroom and bathroom are in the detached pool house. You do need to go outside and across the pool deck to get between the main house and the pool house. - There is no central air conditioning. There are mini split AC units in each bedroom, the dining room, and a wall unit in the pool house. - This home is nestled in a beautiful natural setting where wildlife and insects are part of the charm. Routine pest control services are in place to ensure the comfort of our guests, but on occasion, a curious critter may make its way inside, especially if doors are left open. If you notice any evidence of pests indoors, please notify our office promptly so we can address the situation. - This home receives water via a well. Due to the high mineral content in our area, this water smells and tastes different than city water. Though the water is safe to drink, those who are accustomed to city water may wish to bring bottled water for drinking. You may also notice a slight orange tinge to white items that are laundered in the water. - This home is on a private septic system. To ensure proper function, please flush toilet paper only. Do not flush items such as wipes, feminine products, paper towels, or other materials, as they can cause damage or backups. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property, with the exception of a locked owner’s closet and detached garage.
