On Mountain Time is a brand-new chalet with custom features throughout. Tastefully designed with guests in mind. The perfect spot to just relax and take in the beautiful views, or head out on an adventure if that is more your style. Summer options are endless with 3 points of water access within a mile and endless hiking options. The chalet has 3 kayaks with paddles for guest use, please bring appropriate life vests to fit your guests. Mt Abram ski resort is just 3 miles away offering, alpine skiing, mountain biking, a great family lounge and beer garden in the summer with entertainment. If you are looking for more terrain, Sunday River Ski Resort, the biggest and best in the east, is a short 14-mile drive. Extensive hiking trails within a couple of miles of the property, golf, shopping, dining and entertainment all within 10 minuets. The home itself is beautifully furnished with striking furniture and accents throughout reflecting the mountain location and modern but cozy design. The main level offers open concept living with fireplace, dining, and kitchen with floor to ceiling windows facing west for amazing sun sets over the lake. Also, on the main is a full bath, laundry and bedroom with two twin beds. The upper-level features more amazing views, a king suite, queen bedroom and additional full bath. The lower level is perfect for the kids and kids at heart with a bunk room with custom XL bunks, TV area and pool table. After a long day on the trails or slopes head back to the chalet grab a drink and snack and head to the deck to watch the sun slip behind the mountains or enjoy it from the hot tub! Prepare dinner and then sit by the fire pit and roast smores or jump back in the hot tub and watch the stars. The location, views, amenities and access to so much make this the perfect spot for your family get away! The damage waiver fee of $150.00 is a non-refundable payment- which covers accidental damage up to the amount of $1500.00. This fee is processed in the overall costs of the rental at the time of booking. Remember we are in the mountains of Maine and the snow we hope for all year can make travel more difficult. We recommend all or 4 wheel drive in the winter season. The roads and driveway are professionally maintained but guests may find travel difficult without it. Guests have access to the entire property for their stay. The only exception would be if an owner has a locked closet or space for their personal items. While we will not be at the property physically unless need by a guest, we are only a phone call or message away! We want to give our guests the privacy and space they are looking for on vacation while offering help or answering questions. We are available 24 hrs a day for assistance. Our properties are all in suburban areas and often in subdivisions. We love the privacy and nature nearby and also respect our neighbors. Our neighborhoods do have quiet hours between 10pm and 8am for the comfort and enjoyment of our guests and residents. Personal transportation is a must in our area. In the winter there is a free public bus, The Mountain Explorer, offering transportation between Sunday River Resort and some local businesses. There are a few ride share options in the area but are not consistent at this point and should be counted on for transportation. In the winter 4wheel or all wheel drive is very strongly recommended. Although all roads and driveways are maintained and plowed we are in the great mountains after all! We host several properties in the greater Sunday River, Newry, Bethel, Greenwood, Woodstock area. We offer a range of private single homes to slope side condos and townhomes.
