This 1917 beauty is nestled on the hillside beside the award winning golf course & cross country ski/hiking trails. Perched overlooking Lake Manitou with one of a kind views, it is ideal for groups--getaways, reunions, & retreats of every kind. This charming, eccentric 4000sq' home on 2 lots/3 levels boasts 2 bathrooms, 4 half-baths, 2 showers, 1 tub, 6 bedrooms, & 7+ beds, as well as outdoor deck, patio, bbq, full kitchen, fire pit, designated work spaces, & many dining/lounge/media spaces. The space The Lake House sleeps 6-14 comfortably, up to 20 in a pinch. 16 is our listed maximum—talk to us to add additional sleeping arrangements. It is ideal for 6-7 individuals or couples. The space is not designed with children/infants in mind, but we sure like 'em--bring them along! 3 Garden Level Queen Rooms (each with private in-suite half bath) Garden Level Family Suite with a King & Double (in-suite private half bath) Showers, laundry, & amenities just outside your door. 2 Upper Queen Bedrooms share a large spa-like bath. A soak in the claw foot tub is the perfect end to the perfect day. In total, you will find 7 beds, a cot, & modular sofa. A crib/playpen, twin mattress, &/or inflatable Queen complete with bedding and towels available upon request--let us know which room/s to add them to! The main floor may be used for additional sleeping accommodations (for early risers & those not keen on stairs.) We will soon be charging a fee for additional guests & donating the proceeds to our favorite cat shelter. We adore animals of every kind, but are not able to accommodate pets sans licensed service animals. We just installed central air. Cool. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, baking, and hosting. There are tons of family friendly games & puzzles. You won't find new construction here, rather unique architecture, eclectic design, & original fir floors. We love a beautiful celebration with family and friends, but cherish our neighbors, wildlife, and peaceful surroundings, so we'll firmly pass on the all night parties. You're going to love it here. Guest access Most MAPS will lead you to the wrong side of the property. Simply take the first left towards the golf course as you enter the Resort Village of Manitou Beach from highway 365. You'll find us at the second drive down to the right, opposite the golf course Member's Lounge. There is a large parking lot with room for eight vehicles, and additional free parking up top! View aerial photos for reference. Other things to note You’ll find zero new construction here, and the grounds are currently rustic/au naturel. We dig mortar and plaster, and antiques/eclectic pieces from every era. This 1917 home, moved here 30+ years ago has its share of endearing quirks and imperfections, but with a new HVAC system and plush beds & linens your comfort is our business. Feel free to smoke outdoors using ashtrays provided, while being sensitive to our great neighbors. Speaking of..2 great cats live next door, and love to sneak in with guests. So many of you suffer from allergies, so kindly visit with them outdoors only! Kindly ensure that all doors & windows are closed by 11pm in the summer, as noise travels on the hillside.
