Description
Welcome to the Benjamin Room at the historic Vineyard Mansion. This room's namesake is the original owner of the property, B.R. Vineyard, who was a prominent attorney in St. Joseph. The spacious Benjamin Room features a king-size bed situated between bay windows, comfortable seating area, and a private en suite bathroom. The space The Vineyard Mansion was built in 1890, by the famed architectural firm of Eckel and Mann. Although we would love to welcome EVERYONE to visit this property, due to the age of the home, the rooms, facilities, and grounds are not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for visitors with limited mobility. Please take this into consideration before booking. Our guest rooms feature period-appropriate furnishings and antiques, as well as, comfortable seating areas, and either queen or king-sized beds. Additionally, each room has either a private access or en suite bath. Guest access Guests visiting the Vineyard Mansion enjoy access to the foyer, grounds, parlor, billiard room, kitchen and dining room. Breakfast is self-serve, so feel free to go to the kitchen any time you want. We stock breakfast items and coffee in the food pantry off the kitchen, please help yourself. We stock yogurt, juices, eggs, cheese, almond milk, etc. in the refrigerator so please don’t be shy and help yourself. If you would like to make yourself a special breakfast by-all-means do so. We try to create a home away from home with the way we do things here, so if you want to make dinner or cookies go right ahead. During your stay For your convenience, we have a live-in property manager/host who is available to answer questions, offer suggestions for nearby attractions, and provide some history about the property. Other things to note The Vineyard Mansion is 11,000 sq ft of building area. We are still in the process of ongoing restoration, which I am sure will last the rest of my life! So don't be surprised if we are doing upgrades someone in the building.
