The space The ground floor is one huge space created from the various bar areas and now incorporates the latest in contemporary design. A huge TV, quirky his ‘n’ hers pub toilets, open plan kitchen and dining with every conceivable luxurious extra. Downstairs needs to be seen to be believed: nestling cheek by jowl with each other are a state-of-the-art cinema room, a snooker room and the craziest cave bar you have ever seen! The Flintstones would be right at home! And why go back upstairs when you can use the downstairs toilet? But it doesn’t end there, on the two upper floors we have 7 decadent double bedrooms, each individually designed and themed and with 4.5 bathrooms between them. Off Road Driving and Biking Set in 300 acres of glorious countryside and with a 4km off road course, channel your inner stig with steep drops, rough terrain and plenty of mud. Getting behind the wheel of their custom Land Rover Defenders and taking on the course is exhilarating, and if you pass with flying colours I’m sure the quad biking might take your fancy. The powerful 400cc quad bikes are modern and well-maintained, ensuring that you get a stunning performance from them across the trek. Safety equipment and a full briefing are provided by experienced members of staff, so you have nothing to worry about. Levens Hall Elizabethan era architecture takes you back in time even upon first glance. 9,500 acres of thorough agriculture provides much of the produce for Levens Kitchen, their fantastic multi-purpose dining and event space. You’ll be pleasantly surprised to know that Levens Hall is home to the world’s oldest topiary, hence the sheer amount of praise that the gardens gets. Lakeland Maze Farm Park Open seasonally (this year from May 29th until October 30th), Lakeland Maze Farm Park takes you up close and personal with the Lake District’s very own animal kingdom. Cattle, sheep, pigs, ferrets, rabbits, llamas, alpacas, goats, horses and donkeys are all flourishing on this farm; it might be hard to pick a favourite! Sizergh Castle 8 centuries have passed and Sizergh Castle is still looking absolutely immaculate. The surrounding agricultural estate has stunning views across the countryside, the gardens provide new seasonal smells and there’s a wildlife trail for you to scout out. Kendal Museum Founded in 1796, Kendal Museum is well in-tune with local history, including collections of archaeology, history and geology with artefacts from many years ago in the Lake District.
