Description

Welcome to our Barn at Top Riley. An idyllic romantic hideaway in the heart of the Peak District ideal for grown up's. Stunning views from an elevated location, not even your car is in sight as the Barn is a 5 minute walk through the fields from the car park. The hot tub is a welcome utopia after a beautiful walk from your doorstep. Relax in the complete tranquility, with underfloor heating, wifi and a smart TV. Get away from it all, yet stay connected (or not). Relax, rest, unwind. The space Welcome to The Barn at Top Riley Holiday Cottages. We’re delighted to welcome you to The Barn, a truly one-of-a-kind retreat, perfect for those seeking stillness, space, and soul-soothing views. Set alone in its own private fields, The Barn offers total peace, with no neighbours in sight, just open skies, rolling hills, and the sound of birdsong. Yet you're only a short stroll (1.4km) from the historic village of Eyam, with its tearooms, walking trails, and rich sense of place. This is a place to pause and breathe. Whether you're celebrating something special or simply escaping the everyday, The Barn invites you to slow down and immerse yourself in the peace and beauty of the Peak District. Step inside to a light-filled space, lovingly restored and designed with comfort in mind. The mezzanine bedroom is tucked away and cosy, with a great view from the window to watch the stars and views that will quite literally take your breath away. There's a small hanging area and drawers beneath the bed for your belongings. Downstairs, the open kitchen with breakfast bar flows into the lounge, where large windows frame endless countryside views. A comfy sofa and chair to while away the hours. The bathroom is spacious, offering room to relax, unwind, and even a dedicated area for hair and makeup, perfect for getting ready for a dinner out or a special occasion. And when the day draws to a close, your private hot tub awaits outside, a tranquil spot to soak under the stars with nothing but the sounds of nature all around. This is a space for rest, not revelry, no loud music or late-night noise. I’ll pop by to check the hot tub each day, but I won’t need access through The Barn. You’ll find underfloor heating, and towel rail to keep everything dry. There’s also a SMART TV for your own Netflix, Amazon and other streaming apps, and Wi-Fi is available, though as we’re blissfully rural, it may not support high-speed business use. We like to think of that as part of the charm. Unfortunately this property is not suitable for babies or children and therefore is adult only. Parking is in the main cottage car park, please look for the space marked Barn Parking. From there, walk through the farm gate and up the field, keeping the dry stone wall on your left. If arriving after dark, a torch is recommended. The key will be on the inside of the barn door when you arrive. To help you make the most of your stay, take a look at our guidebook, full of handpicked recommendations, from hidden walks to local eateries and peaceful spots to watch the world go by. And of course, if anything isn’t quite right, please let us know, We are just a short walk away and happy to help. Wishing you the most peaceful, magical stay, Emma and Mano Guest access Guests are welcome to use all spaces within the Barn and explore the fields within the dry stone walled areas. There is a laundry facility by the carpark which can be used and includes a washing machine and tumble dryer. Unfortunately this property is not suitable for babies or children and therefore is adult only. Other things to note The Barn is remote but within walking distance of a great pub and cafe. The village of Eyam has so much history to it and with it's own museum can take you some time to look around and be immersed in it. A larger food store is about a 10 minute drive, either the Coop at Baslow or Aldi in Bakewell. Food deliveries can be organised by the guest to arrive at the main carpark and collected from there. Unfortunately this property is not suitable for babies or children and therefore is adult only.
