Scenic Mountain Retreat with Hot Tub and Sauna

Welcome to Idyllwild and to our completely renovated mountain retreat home in beautiful Fern Valley. This private, quiet and beautiful house is located on 4/5 of an acre a few minutes away from the many trails accessible from Humber Park. It’s the perfect space for hiking, cooking, listening to music, relaxing, and enjoying a few days to a few weeks of fresh mountain air and peaceful tranquility. The house has been recently completely updated with a brand new kitchen, bathrooms, and hot tub. The space This newly remodeled house is on a beautiful 0.8 acre of pristine mountain hillside in the shadow of the iconic Tahquitz Rock and has a large outdoor deck for outdoor living including a brand new hot tub. It is approximately a half-mile from many miles of trails leaving from Humber park just up Fern Valley Road. The house has three spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom is very large with a very comfortable King size bed, a luxurious reclining lounge chair, and sliding glass doors facing a small private patio. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and a beautiful window overlooking the forest. The third bedroom also has a Queen-size bed and a standing desk with two available external floating screens that can be connected to your laptop, ready for remote working if desired. The WiFi is strong. There are two bathrooms. The brand new luxurious kitchen and living space are bright and perfect for cooking meals and enjoying a relaxing afternoon. You can also enjoy watching TV and playing board games by the fireplace in the living room The deck provides a beautiful space to be outdoors and to enjoy the trees and majestic views of the mountain. The hot tub is ideally placed so you can enjoy the views of the forest. Grab a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset reflecting off Tahquitz rock; grill a meal on the BBQ and enjoy it with your family and wake up in the morning to the view of evergreens and sounds of birds singing and nothing else. You will enjoy a relaxing and quiet time at this house - perfect for a weekend getaway or extended stay away from the city. Guest access You will have access to the entire home and grounds, with the exception of the garage and owner closets. There is parking both inside the property and also right in front. You can easily walk to town in 1/2 hour from our house or else it's a 5-minute drive. The neighborhood is wonderful for a morning or afternoon walk. Other things to note RENTAL AGREEMENT. Before your stay, we will send you a personalized rental agreement which will include details such as your check-in and check-out times, the number of guests staying, and some general house rules. Additionally, it will contain our contact information, and instructions you might need during your stay. We kindly ask you to read through the agreement carefully, sign it where required and email back to us. SAUNA INSTRUCTIONS To turn the sauna "ON", turn the timer knob (the one towards the back) FULLY to the right (the “8 hour” position), then back to the left towards the “off” position.  Go slow as you turn left and approach the “off” position.  As you approach the "off" position, passing the "1 hour" position, listen for the distinct sound of electricity turning on which happens at approximately the 30-minute mark.  The heater will stay on for only ~30min; for additional time repeat these steps. SNOW POLICY SCENIC MOUNTAIN. Welcome to our vacation retreat! During winter, for significant snowfall we will have the driveway plowed before your arrival so you can park your vehicle and do our best to make sure the stairs and walkway to the front door are clear.  Additionally, you will have the option to either pay a fee for our snow removal service or use the provided shovels to clear the snow on the walkways, and deck path to the hot tub yourself at no extra cost. Additionally, if it does snow while you are there and you’d like us to set up plowing of the areas by the cars for ease of access to the road this can be done as well for an additional fee.  Alternately this too can be done with the shovels we provide.  Please be aware that we are not liable for any injuries due to winter conditions like slips and falls or auto accidents. We advise checking weather and road conditions before arrival, and it might be necessary to have chains or a 4x4 vehicle for safe access.  Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated for a comfortable and safe stay. NOTE. The host is not responsible for any power outages, or utility interruptions, whether planned or unplanned, caused by SCE outages, propane delivery issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. If such disruptions were to happen during your stay, we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation without expecting a refund of rents and fees.
