Welcome to our Happy Place, close to everything in Sioux Falls. When you step into this house, you can't help but smile and feel the positive energy that resonates. We have turned this home into a colorful piece of art filled with an eclectic mixture of refurbished and custom, high end and one of a kind type furniture, appliances, fixtures and decor. The space For your comfort, the bedroom features a higher quality, medium soft queen mattress. The window treatments are top down/ bottom up roman shades. Please note, this is a small bedroom and the walkway around the bed is between 19"-24" which is perfectly adequate for most people but may prove difficult to those with mobility issues accustomed to sleeping on the left side of the bed. The kitchen is fully equipped and features an original, refurbished 1950's refrigerator and dishwasher with pullout drawers and concrete counter tops and concrete floors. The bathroom is newly remodeled. The dining room holds a refurbished wood top and steel dining table set that sits 4-6 people comfortably. The living room displays one of a kind, custom and eclectic furniture pieces designed and created specifically for this house. The window treatments include sheer curtains and top down/bottom up honeycomb shades. The second bedroom hosts a very comfortable twin size bed and wardrobe. There is a twin size foldable floor mattress in the bedroom closet that can sleep the 4th person. Guest access Guests are welcome to access everything on the property except for the garage, basement and attic. The doors leading to the attic and basement will be locked up for safety because those steps are extremely steep. Guests will have access to a small/decent sized backyard with a new, white, vinyl privacy fence which is great for privacy but there are open walkways not fenced. Guests will have their own driveway. There is plenty of free street parking for those with multiple vehicles, U-hauls or trailers. Other things to note Pet Owners: NO CATS. We welcome dogs that are well behaved and outside potty trained. Pets are not to be on furniture or beds or have use of the bathtub. Pets are not to pee or poo inside the house, even with the use of pee pads. Absolutely no smoking or vaping anything in the house. Cigarette butts are not to be flicked into yard or street but must be thrown into designated "cigarette pot" by front door. No wearing shoes in the house unless they are super clean. Absolutely No parties or “get togethers”. WIFI is included. TV is ROKU, which is app based so you can watch tv through your own subscriptions such as Netflix. SCOOTER RENTALS We have 2 Segway Ninebot Kickscooter Max G30P Scooters available for rent upon request & based on availability. If you would like to rent them, please let me know so I can check availability and so we can make arrangements for the reservation. I will send you a money request for the rental amount. We are not liable for any accidents or injuries. They would be great to take downtown, the Falls Park or any events at the Levitt Center, the zoo or to just get around the neighborhood. Rentals available April-October if there is no snow on the ground. Everything is not brand new. What makes this place so unique and special is the creativity involved into decorating the spaces. The refurbished wood on the dining table has crevices, the concrete counter tops are porous and prone to change colors, the original, hardwood floors creak, the windows in the pantry are original and super old and can not open. The refrigerators made in the 1950's had small freezer cubbies built inside vs the larger compartments that we are used to now days. The house is over 100 years old and was built with one outlet per room. If you can appreciate the quirks of the mixture of new and old, this is the right place for you. Please note that this is not run by a hired hosting agency. IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING NUMBER OF GUESTS AT PROPERTY (We’ll only implement this rule if we begin receiving complaints.) : To help prevent property damage, parties and “get togethers” or other disturbing behaviors we require the following: The number of guests allowed to enter the property must match the number of guests on the reservation. Example: If a booking guest includes 2 guests on the reservation then a maximum of 2 guests are allowed on the property. Any violation will be reported to Airbnb and will result in termination of the reservation without refund. Again, this is only to help prevent any unpleasant situations as the slow, winter season tends to bring an influx of short notice bookings that result in such behaviors and situations.
