Perfect for: • Guests exploring the Gettysburg Battlefield • Wedding weekends and visiting family • Golf trips with friends • Relaxing family getaways in historic Gettysburg The home comfortably sleeps 8 and is designed for families and small groups visiting Gettysburg. There are three spacious bedrooms with newer memory-foam mattresses, extra pillows and blankets, closets with built-in shelving, luggage racks, and sound machines for a restful night’s sleep. The first-floor primary bedroom features a king-size bed and a remodeled en-suite bathroom with shower. Upstairs you’ll find two additional bedrooms—one with a queen bed and another with two full-size beds—along with a large modern bathroom with tub and shower. The home maintains its historic charm with original hardwood floors and exposed brick in several areas while offering modern comforts including central air and heat, high-speed internet, and thoughtful amenities throughout. The kitchen is one of the highlights of the home. Featuring original woodwork, exposed brick, and a wooden bar, it blends historic character with modern appliances including a refrigerator/freezer, stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, and ice maker. A starter supply of coffee, filters, and sweeteners is provided. The spacious dining room is perfect for gathering together. The walls feature original oil and watercolor paintings from local Gettysburg artists. Also on the second floor you’ll find the laundry room with washer and dryer, along with an ironing board, iron, and clothing steamer available for guest use. For convenience, a supermarket and 7-Eleven are both located just one block away. And for a bit of local history… In November of 1863, just four months after the Battle of Gettysburg, President Abraham Lincoln arrived in town to dedicate the Soldiers’ National Cemetery and deliver what would become the Gettysburg Address. The night before that historic speech… Lincoln Slept Near Here. Guest access Guests have full access to the home and private fenced backyard during their stay. Two free off-street parking spaces are available directly in front of the garage doors. For safety and storage purposes, the garage, attic, basement, and a locked storage closet are not accessible to guests. Other things to note For guest safety and property security, the home has three exterior cameras. Camera #1 faces the yard, deck, and lawn. Camera #2 covers the deck steps and gate area. Camera #3 faces the front entrance and steps and may capture a small portion of the sidewalk. There are no cameras inside the home. This home is part of historic downtown Gettysburg and over 126 years old. While it has been updated with modern comforts, older homes can have charming quirks such as original floors, occasional creaks, and the sounds of a lively downtown area during busy seasons. If you have any questions during your stay, feel free to reach out. I'm always happy to share itinerary ideas, local tips, or recommendations for exploring Gettysburg. Be sure to check the guidebook in the listing for some of my favorite places to visit. Have a wonderful stay!
