A few minutes drive to the lighthouse, The Treehouse is equidistant from north Avon to the Hatteras ferry docks. The fact that the room is private, in the middle of Buxton, yet tucked away and surrounded by Oak and Cedar trees with a sound view, is very unusual. The room has a two person maximum. You will have your own parking space in the driveway. There are stairs on the back porch that lead to your room. It is a separate entrance from the rest of the house. There are 2 flights of stairs to access the room. Directly across from the house, is Capt. Ty, Kite (URL HIDDEN) Buxton. A KiteSurfing, WakeBoarding, Boat Cruises and Tubing, (Lessons) Business As an artist and musician, I work both in and out of the house, and am frequently around! I enjoy talking to guests, answering questions and offering recommendations. If not in person, I am available by cell phone. Buxton is centrally located on Hatteras Island. A short walk from "Treehouse on the Soundside" is a colorful local spot, Pop's Raw Bar and Grill. They have music on Friday, beer and wine, mixed drinks and seafood. Two miles North, is Conner's Grocery Store. One half mile South is the Sandbar Restaurant with music and a bar. Buxton is also home to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The street that "Treehouse on the Soundside" is actually on, is a small gravel road along the harbor, off of NC Hwy 12. There are four year round residences and on the harbor is Hatteras Boatyard. Guests will have private parking for one car in the house driveway. Transportation on Hatteras Island is by personal car or bikes. The beach by the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is approx. a 2 1/2 mile bike ride.
