“Joy in the Morning” beach home, steps from Lake Erie, is designed for comfort, outfitted for fun, equipped for relaxation, and conveniently located. After a day out, pull in to the garage with the remote and warm up with the easy to use gas fireplace. If winter temperatures tempt you to stay inside, enjoy the OLED TV. There are two living areas so everyone has their own space. The two full bathrooms never make you feel crowded and you'll appreciate the heated bathroom floors. There are 2 first floor bedrooms and 1 sleeping loft. Those bedrooms sleep 6 (Master = King bed; Guest Room = Queen bed; Sleeping loft = 2 twins). There are also 3 twin air mattresses for use. Overnight guests should NOT sleep on the couch. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who like to cook. There are 4 TV's that are Smart TV’s and/or have Roku. You will need to use your own log-in’s. There are no gaming consoles nor is there cable TV. Bring your streaming log-in's and you'll have access to everything you have at home. This cozy home is an ideal location for anglers, athletes and their families as well as adventure-seekers, beach-goers, and nature-lovers. It is conveniently located less than 12 miles from Cedar Point, Jackson Street Pier, Sports Force Park, Kalahari and Fabens Park. The public boat launch, pier and lighthouse are within walking distance. As a bonus, this home has a beautiful, walk-to, private association beach at the end of the street. A beach pass is provided during your summer stay. You can stroll to Dairy Queen, Drug Mart, The Gym and a grocery store. The house is fully stocked so you can have family meals around the large table. In addition, you can enjoy the sand volleyball court or the association park with tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts, a softball field and swings. (Use of tennis racquets and pickle-ball gear is included in the rental.). There is a 2 car attached garage that holds a fire pit, back yard games, a grill, bikes, kayak, and lots of beach gear—all available for guest use. The other side fits a vehicle. Your Beach Home Away from Home is located in a quaint, walkable neighborhood that is great for biking, running, and walking. There is an eagle's nest you can see from the next neighborhood. Walk or use the provided bikes, stroller or old red wagon to see if you catch in it’s nest. It is not unusual to see eagles here. Just down the street is a large, private beach which you will have access to during your stay. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, toys, and a kayak are provided. The neighborhood also has a park a few houses away. It includes a tennis court, swings, softball field, grassy area, and basketball court. You can walk to Sand Bar, Marconi's Italian Restaurant, Dairy Queen, Drug Mart, or the local grocery store. There is a free public boat launch about a mile away. Those who vacation in Old Homestead often book year after year. My family started renting a week every summer when I was a little girl. We loved it so much, we bought a place 30 years ago. It's my favorite place in the world and I hope you have the opportunity to see why. This property boasts a lot and a half, plus a 2 car attached garage--a rarity in this neighborhood. Half of the garage is available for a vehicle. The other half holds the kayak, bikes, red wagon, umbrella, beach gear, fire pit, hammock, grill, and outdoor toys. The double wide drive way provides plenty of free, convenient parking. Those of you towing a boat will love the 46' x 16' driveway. My wish for you is to have a relaxing visit. This is your time away so that shouldn't mean packing your car with basics: paper products (paper towels, napkins, toilet paper), linens (pillows, sheets, bedding) and general soaps (laundry detergent, liquid hand soap, dishwasher detergent, and dish soap).
