The space The Heart of The Bluff: At the heart of the farmhouse is our spacious under-roof alfresco entertaining area — a comfortable, all-season space designed for relaxing and spending time together. Complete with ceiling heaters and wall-mounted fans, the alfresco area features an 8-burner BBQ, sink, large 8-person dining table, comfortable lounge and TV. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a long breakfast, fire up the BBQ, settle in with a good book, watch TV, or simply relax and catch up with family and friends. Kitchen, Dining & Living Inside, the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area provides plenty of space for everyone to come together. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and includes a walk-in pantry, along with a dedicated tea and coffee station featuring a Nescafé coffee machine — perfect for that first coffee of the morning before heading outside to enjoy the farm. Bedrooms & Bathrooms The farmhouse has four spacious and comfortably appointed bedrooms, with the main bedroom featuring its own private ensuite. Both bathrooms are modern, fresh and spacious, with generous showers featuring rainfall and massage shower functions. A handheld hairdryer is provided in each bathroom for your convenience. Laundry: For longer stays, the farmhouse includes a modern laundry with a washing machine and dryer, with laundry detergent provided for guests. Meet & Feed Our Animals: One of the simple pleasures of staying at The Bluff is getting to know some of our farm animals. Our cattle are always happy to see guests — particularly when there's hay involved! We provide hay specifically for guests who would like to feed them, which can be a wonderful experience, especially for children. For the health and safety of our animals, please only feed them the hay we provide and no other food. Guest access Your Space & Exploring the Farm: Your booking includes exclusive use of the farmhouse and its large, fully enclosed private yard, giving you plenty of space to relax, unwind and enjoy your stay in privacy. Guests are also welcome to explore and enjoy our 50-acre property. The Bluff is a working farm, however, so from time to time you may see us around the property caring for our animals, maintaining the land or carrying out normal farming activities. For your safety, we ask that guests do not enter or approach the machinery shed or farming equipment and implements. Farm machinery can have sharp edges, heavy moving components and hydraulic systems that may remain under pressure even when equipment is not operating. Children should always be supervised while exploring the farm. Apart from these working areas, we encourage you to get out, wander the property, enjoy the fresh country air and discover what makes The Bluff such a special place to stay. Other things to note Discover The Bluff: One of the most special places on our property — and the inspiration behind our name — is The Bluff. Getting there is part of the experience. Take a leisurely walk across the farm paddock before following our well-maintained track up towards The Bluff. Nestled amongst the trees are two peaceful lookout areas, including vantage points near the rocky cliffs, where you can sit, take in the views and simply listen to the sounds of nature around you. There’s something quite magical about The Bluff. Find a quiet spot, put the phone away, breathe in the fresh country air and watch the world go by. It’s a place to slow down, clear your head and, for a little while, tune out from the rest of the world. Bring a book, take a morning coffee, enjoy a quiet conversation together or simply sit and do absolutely nothing. Evenings Around the Fire: As the sun goes down, one of our favourite places to gather is the large outdoor firepit. With comfortable seating, outdoor lighting and firewood supplied, it’s a wonderful place for family and friends to come together at the end of the day. Light the fire, settle in and enjoy those conversations that somehow seem better around a country fire — catching up, sharing stories, laughing together or simply enjoying the night sky and the peacefulness of the farm. For added safety, the firepit is fitted with a protective fire cover. Meet Our Farm Animals: And, of course, a farmstay wouldn’t be complete without saying hello to some of our animals. Guests are welcome to feed our cattle, and we provide hay specifically for you to give them. They tend to know when visitors have hay, so don't be surprised if you suddenly become very popular! For the health and wellbeing of our animals, we simply ask that you only feed them the hay we provide and no other food. It’s a simple experience, but one that both children and adults often love — and another little part of life at Farm Stay – The Bluff.
