Immerse yourself in old town magic, surrounded by traditional seaside cafes, cozy pubs & award-winning restaurants. Your dream coastal getaway awaits! The space This award-winning Grade II listed cottage is a remarkable piece of living history - a fine example of an Elizabethan ship merchant's house built in the early 1600s for a ship trader. Sleeping 9 guests across 5 beautifully appointed bedrooms (three twins, one double, and one single), plus two full bathrooms each with WC, sink and shower, the house unfolds over three fascinating floors connected by a winding staircase that incorporates an original ship's mast running from ground floor to top. Step into centuries past with original beamed and gabled ceilings, wonky floors that tell tales of age, and medieval plank and munting walls in some bedrooms, plus stunning Elizabethan panelled walls that showcase the craftsmanship of a bygone era. The top floor features a charming small ante room off the master bedroom, while the ground floor boasts an open-plan dining room and living space perfect for gathering. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered - from premium furniture and luxurious soft furnishings to quality bed linen and towels. Step outside your door into East Looe's enchanting old town, where narrow cobbled streets wind past independent shops, traditional pubs, and award-winning restaurants. You're literally moments from the pristine sandy beach - perfect for families with its gentle waves and safe swimming - and the historic harbour with its famous Banjo Pier, where you can watch fishing boats unload their daily catch before enjoying the freshest seafood at waterfront restaurants. Your perfect location opens up endless adventures: the picturesque smuggling village of Polperro is just a short drive away, hidden coves and dramatic clifftops await along the South West Coast Path, and the spectacular 4-mile stretch of Whitsand Bay beckons just 15 minutes away. Whether you arrive by car or take the scenic Looe Valley railway line (acclaimed as one of England's most beautiful train rides), you'll find yourself at the heart of Cornwall's most captivating coastal landscape. We offer attractive discounts for longer stays, plus flexible long weekend breaks and short breaks to suit your perfect getaway.
