Hello! We are so glad you’re interested in staying at the cabins! Whether its summer or winter, this space has so much to offer. There are three cabins on this property and all of them are included in the listing. There is a main cabin, a bunk cabin, and a third cabin, each with beds and a bathroom. We enjoy staying here with our extended families and friends. Check out our reviews and the guidebook to get a feel for the experience here and if you have any questions you can send us a message! The cabins are just a few minute walk from the lake where we fish and watch lots of sunsets. We are also less than a mile away from Sequoyah State Park. There are many hiking and walking trails there, along with a great playground, swimming pool, tennis court, and nature center (which the kids love). It is also close to Taylor’s Ferry and Pelican Point where you can swim in the lake and play on the playground. The property has a large front yard with a tree swing. We tried to make plenty of spaces to sit and enjoy a fire, with the fireplace indoors and a fire pit in the back. In the cooler months we love the cozy feel, sitting next to a fire in the fireplace or stove, and playing lots of board games. It is a great winter retreat space that truly is a cabin in the woods! We love coming here to unwind with our family and friends. We hope you will enjoy it too! Some disclaimers based on our experience of hosting at our cabins: - There is a TV but it is in the bunkhouse. We don't use it often and assume most folks aren't coming to the lake or woods to watch TV but we want to make sure you know what to expect! - The cabins are meant to be share spaces so while we do have room to sleep up to 16 guests most of the spaces are open, meaning there is not a door that separates the daybeds from the living room. Again, we feel like this is evident from the photos but we want to make sure you know and can plan accordingly. We've found it best to have groups that are comfortable together share one of the cabins, like one family in the main cabin, one in the bunk house, and one in the two story cabin. - There is a large charcoal grill and smoker on the property you are welcome to use. - We do not allow partying on the property. Our neighbors enjoy the quiet environment the lake offers and we want to honor that. If you are reported for loud music or guests that are not listed in your reservation we will contact you by phone first and then ask that you leave the property if the issue continues. This is the main reason we require a two night stay reservation because in our experience hosting here the guests we had the most problems with were large groups reserving one night to come have a party. Guests can access everything on the property with the exception of inside the shed. We are happy to answer any questions by phone, text or email. Our cabin is in a small neighborhood just off of Ft. Gibson Lake. The Sequoyah State Park is less than a mile away and we are 20 minutes from the towns of Wagoner and Talequah. Fishing and hiking trails are a few minutes walk down the street. There is plenty to do close by! The city of Wagoner is a 20 minute drive. This is usually where we get groceries. Closer to the cabin is a Dollar General and several gas stations. The Hulbert City Park and splash pad is a 10 minute drive east on Highway 51. We go here often with the kids. It is free to use and the recently updated splash pad is especially fun for smaller kids. The Wagoner City Pool is also fun and affordable for large groups. Although if you’re coming here, the best attractions are within a short walk off the back porch or into the woods! We have many lovely neighbors close to us at the cabins that live at the lake full time. We’ve committed to them we want to maintain the quite, peaceful atmosphere we all enjoy at the lake. For this reason we do not allow partying or loud music. We encourage our neighbors to contact us if they are bothered at all by noise or if they feel there are more guests at the cabins than there should be. We will contact guests if we do hear from neighbors and although we have not had to do this in three years of hosting we will ask guests to leave the cabins if there are more people than the reservation is for or if the noise continues. We want the cabins to be a fun place to be with friends and family but also want to respect the environment many of us enjoy. Please consider this when making a reservation! We’re happy to answer any questions you have about the cabins. Send us a message!
