#08 Blue Goose / Brook Road Inn Only 9 min to Mount Sunapee; the Blue Goose Room is one of 10 rooms in the historic Brook Road Inn. The rooms are rustic, in the building's historic style, and the Blue Goose Room offers two twin beds and a private bath. The door locks from both the inside and outside for privacy and safety. The room is located up a narrow staircase and shares a hall with 8 other guest rooms. The bathroom is private and located across the hall. The room has a closet, dresser as well as luggage racks. This is a non-smoking property. This room has limited power outlets, The inn was built in 1837. Recently all of the rooms have been renovated to preserve the inn's original farmhouse character. Currently there is no restaurant at the inn. However, there is a shared area with a fridge, toaster, and microwave. There is a coffee bar area with a water bubbler. Enjoy 2 spacious dining areas to eat while staying at the inn. Although there is 24/7 video surveillance, staff isn’t on the property at all times. The front door is locked 24/7 and can only be unlocked with a code that you will receive in your check-in instructions that will be sent before your stay. Guests must be comfortable being self-sufficient from check-in to check-out. During the warm season enjoy the deck, equipped with a grill. Please only use your room and the shared spaces, and do not enter other guest’s rooms. Kitchen use is limited to the microwave, toaster, and electric burner. Please wash any dishes that you use. Innkeeper is almost always nearby and is available via phone during normal business hours 8:00AM to 10:00PM and available 24/7 via phone for after hours emergencies. If there is an emergency and need to reach them, calling is the best option - if they are asleep they may not hear a text notification. Upon arrival please relax and settle in but check your room and let us know if there is anything you need to make you feel at home during your stay. In the imediate area you will be able to wander about on 100's of miles of trails or head up the little dirt road behind the barn and walk beautiful Rand Pond. If sport is what you seek you don't need to go too far, Sunapee Ski area is only a 9 minutes drive from the Inn! The Adventure Park features a 2 1/2 hour Canopy Zip-Line Tour, an Aerial Challenge Course with 32 challenges, 4 miles of Downhill Mountain Biking, 18 holes of Miniature Golf, an 18-hole Championship Disc Golf Course, an Airbag Jump and Climbing Wall Tower, the Beck Brook Mining Sluice and chairlift rides. There is also an Interpretive hiking trail from the top of South Peak. If you enjoy gardens check out The Fells; walking the grounds during the spring, summer, and fall seasons is magical and one never knows what surprise will be encountered. Also available for sale during the three seasons are plants that are clippings/potted from the grounds onsite. Take in a bit of theatre at the New London Barn Playhouse, it is one of New England’s most cherished summer-stock theaters, presenting excellent theater created by emerging artists in collaboration with accomplished professionals. The theater has served a large audience each summer since 1933 in New Hampshire’s beautiful Lake Sunapee region. You will need a vehicle to get to the inn. We are remote so taxi, Lyft and uber are few and far between. But with so much to do within walking distance you won't want to leave once you arrive. • State Identification Card or Driver License copy will be requested upon booking • Please be delicate as you move about the inn. Also, do not allow any children to be unattended at any time
