Some hit the ski hill while others walk with wolves. Some stay in, curled up with a good book, game or friend while others take a hike to Canyon Creek and beyond. Choose to climb a mountain of ice, snowmobile your dream line, or explore where no one else would dare. Then everyone comes back to enjoy the Mökki and great company. Guest access We are thrilled to share our home with others. You will find many basics from fridge to bathroom and have private access to the whole house and hot tub when booking. A bunkhouse has been built in the yard, where we live. Other things to note Golden is the hub of all that makes the mountains so hard to leave. From Moonraker Mountain Mokki, you can experience the greatest calm to the most electrifying adventures. There are 120 ACRES OF LAND with TRAILS on the property: connects you to over 100 km of trails maintained by The Golden Cycling Club (GCC). A 1.5 km trail climbs to the spectacular 200m gorge overlooking Canyon Creek. There are also old road beds on the mountain for access that is not as steep. Have no fear of getting lost because the Trailforks app will show you exactly where you are! SUMMER - Hiking, biking, canoe/paddle board rentals, fishing, and paragliding are steps away from the house. - Whitewater rafting, back country ATV, horse back riding, golf, sky diving, rock climbing, and walking with wolves are also possible in Golden. It's a great place to cross off many of those bucket list dreams! - Golden Skybridge is our newest adrenaline addition! WINTER - Snowshoes are provided to explore both flat and mountain trails. - XC ski or skin from the house - Kicking Horse Resort is a 25 minute drive through Golden and up the mountain. At its doorstep, the Golden Nordic Ski Club grooms 33 km of skate and classic cross country trails. Back country skiers will also appreciate the variety of terrain in the area. - Snowmobilers can find groomed, low elevation trails or hardcore back country riding.
