Welcome home to our waterfront retreat just a stone's throw from the Shenandoah River. Enjoy this charming cabin with all the comforts of home right at the water's edge. * 2 bedroom, 1bath cabin with kitchen, living room + screened-in porch * 2 Queen beds * Fully equipped kitchen * Gas fireplace * Screened-in porch with riverfront views, gas grill + private hot tub * Outdoor fire pit + picnic area * Private river access * Kayaks, canoe + tubes for use during your stay Spend your days on the Shenandoah at Stepping Stone Cabin. Sit on the couch in the living room and watch the ducks float down the river, walk out the door and throw in a fishing line or unwind in the hot tub on the screened-in porch. Enjoy a campfire under the stars and the soothing sounds of the river. You'll have access to the entire cabin, yard, and private riverfront area. If you need anything during your stay the owners live just a few minutes away and are happy to help. Enjoy the beauty of the Shenandoah River and the serene Page Valley. The cabin is located on the South Fork of the river just 10 miles from Luray Caverns and 20 miles from Shenandoah National Park, less than a 2 hour drive from Washington, DC with easy access to Interstate Highways 81, 66, 64, 70, and 95. Walk out the front door and hike in GW National Forest or swim, fish, tube, canoe or kayak on the Shenandoah River. The cabin is just a few minutes from our family canoe business, Shenandoah River Outfitters, where you can take a float trip down the river, rent a tube for the day to relax and unwind, or enjoy a kayak or raft. Drive less than 20 minutes to explore small town shops, antiques, restaurants and breweries in Luray. Plan a visit to the caverns, zoo or civil war museum or book a ziplining or horseback riding adventure. Spend the day hiking or driving the scenic overlooks in Shenandoah Nat’l Park and then come back and soak in the hot tub under the stars. –Dogs are welcome! Sorry, we can't accept cats. The pet fee is $75 per pet and will be added as an extra service fee after your booking is confirmed. Price based on a one to two night stay for up to 2 dogs. If your stay is 3 or more days and/or if you have more than 2 dogs, an additional fee will apply. –Linens are NOT included. Sheets + towels are available upon request for $30 per set. –The cabin is stocked with a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen trash bags, hand soap and dish soap. We also provide salt, pepper and coffee filters. Blankets + pillows are provided. Please bring your own firewood + charcoal. –While there is WiFi at the cabin the service is not fast enough for video calls/conferencing. Come and unplug! –A minimum of 3 nights is required when booking during major holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day.
